At Extra Inning Softball, NIL opportunities are now officially available for committed athletes in the Class of 2027—and they are being delivered through a national platform built specifically for this moment in an athlete’s journey.
The Extra Inning Softball Commit Crew powered by Mizuno is now accepting applications, offering a limited, high-impact opportunity for athletes who were previously ranked in the Extra Elite 100: Class of 2027 to step into the evolving world of name, image, and likeness.
A New Phase Beyond Rankings
For years, rankings have served as a benchmark for identifying top talent. However, once an athlete commits, the landscape changes.
Exposure must evolve.
The Commit Crew program is designed to bridge that transition—taking athletes from being recognized nationally to becoming marketable, visible, and strategically positioned within the sport.
This is not simply another recognition platform. It is a progression model.
Athletes selected for the Commit Crew will gain access to structured opportunities that extend far beyond their ranking status, including direct alignment with Mizuno, one of the most respected brands in softball.
Limited Entry, Elevated Value
To preserve exclusivity and maximize impact, the program is capped at just 50 athletes nationwide.
That limitation is intentional.
By keeping the group small, Extra Inning Softball ensures that each athlete receives meaningful exposure, individualized attention, and a legitimate pathway into NIL opportunities—not diluted visibility.
From a strategic standpoint, this scarcity increases both perceived value and actual opportunity. It creates urgency, but more importantly, it creates separation.
Commit Crew Benefits
As members of the Commit Crew, athletes will receive exclusive benefits designed to expand their exposure, strengthen their personal brand, and introduce them to real NIL opportunities within the softball space. Other program perks as follows:
- Free Extra Inning Softball annual membership
- Brand-building exposure across EIS platforms
- Preparation guidance for their first NIL opportunities
- Eligibility to win free Mizuno gear
Mizuno Powering the Program
For Mizuno, the Commit Crew is a strategic investment into the commitment stage of elite softball athletes.
This initiative:
- Opens the door to NIL deals with Mizuno
- Creates ownership of the commitment milestone
- Strengthens early brand loyalty in youth softball
- Connects Mizuno with credible, high-profile athletes
- Builds a sustainable pathway from elite youth softball to college and beyond

Mizuno’s continued investment in athlete development and its commitment to growing the sport make the partnership a natural fit for programs designed to elevate softball at every level.
Leah Majeski, the Diamond Sports Marketing Manager for Mizuno, shares:
“Mizuno has always been committed to supporting athletes and growing the game at every level. We’re proud to partner with such a respected platform in the softball community and look forward to helping even more athletes succeed throughout every stage of their softball career.”

Key Dates
Applications for the Commit Crew powered by Mizuno opened on March 8 and will remain open through April 12. Selected athletes will receive acceptance notifications on May 10, with the program officially launching on June 1.
Eligibility Requirements
To apply, athletes must be members of the Class of 2027, be officially committed to a college program, and have previously earned recognition as an Extra Elite 100 athlete.

Bonnie Holland, CEO of Extra Inning Softball, says the initiative reflects the organization’s continued commitment to supporting athletes beyond rankings.
“We’re incredibly excited to partner with Mizuno to launch the EIS Commit Crew and provide committed athletes with another opportunity for recognition and exposure. This program allows us to connect some of the game’s top young athletes with a brand that truly invests in the growth of softball, while also empowering these players to use their voices and influence within the softball community to inspire the next generation.”
Because the program is designed to spotlight a select group of leaders within the Class of 2027, participation will remain intentionally limited.
Acceptance is limited. The commitment stage belongs to those ready to lead it.
Final Take
For committed athletes in the Class of 2027, this is not just another opportunity—it is a selective gateway into the next phase of the sport.
Only 50 will be chosen.
And in a space that is becoming increasingly competitive, being early—and being selected—matters. Apply HERE!
