The relaunch of the 2025 Extra Elite 100 will begin Monday, Sept. 11, 2023 and conclude Oct. 7, 2023, as Extra Inning Softball will wrap up the Regional Rankings that day.
The updated 2025 Extra Elite 100 schedule will be as follows:
- Sept. 11-15: 2025 Extra Elite 100 #’s 100-51
- Sept. 18-22: 2025 Extra Elite 100 #’s 51-1
- Sept. 25: Spotlight on No. 1 player
- Sept. 26 – 29: Rankings 101-500
- Sept. 30: Positional Rankings
- Oct. 2-7: Regional Rankings
Below is the revised player nomination and rankings schedule as published under the Nominations tab at the top of the home page.
Note the new dates in “Ranking Start Dates: Class of 2025” is now Sept. 11 and “Player Regional Rankings Schedule” to be published between October 2-7.
As noted last weekend in the article The 2025 Extra Elite 100 Rankings… The Good, The Bad & The Ugly there were some backend spreadsheet errors that led to several deserving players being unintentionally excluded in the top 100 list that was published from Aug. 7-18, 2023.
Here’s what was written in the article above describing the problem:
“… the database containing the 1,300 or so nominations was sorted but some of the suggested ranking numbers tied into a player got messed up… in other words, somehow part of the info in the spreadsheet got realigned or shifted and didn’t stay with the player’s record as intended.”
The revised 2025 class rankings will account for those deserving players unintentionally excluded earlier this month.
Coaches can send updated or new information not included in the early nominations – such as honors, stats, recent accomplishments, recruiting news (calls, offers, trips, etc. starting Sept. 1)— and other new info to add to a player’s “file” as desired.

For those not aware, “Version 1” of the 2025 Extra Elite, players No. 1-100, was published but, realizing the database errors in the system, it was decided to postpone the information that typically follows (No. 1 player spotlight, ranking #’s 101-500, Position and Regional rankings) until the info errors could be corrected.
Again, I profusely apologize for the problems this has created and we’re working hard to eliminate them moving forward.
