Here’s what winning three consecutive National Championships will do for you when it comes to recruiting for Patty Gasso’s Univ. of Oklahoma powerhouse program:
- two players ranked in the Top 5 of the 2024 Extra Elite 100,
- four in the Top 10,
- six in the Top 15,
- eight total in the Top 25.
Wow… that’s one of the best overall softball recruiting classes we’ve seen, like, ever.
When it comes to looking at top softball recruiting classes, we at Extra Inning Softball look at quality and quality, meaning programs that signed more Extra Elite 100 players get more points in our system. Of course, many programs are very happy to get one or two difference-makers but, here, we’re rewarding universities that improve and are significantly stronger with talent across the board.
Other programs that are expected to ink a half dozen or more standout seniors include Georgia Tech with seven and Tennessee and Texas Tech each with six.
This is a pre-signing day list; we’ll have a final one when all the chips fall (meaning there WILL be some last-minute surprises and changes expected). For example, one SID told us that at top player is expected to switch to an SEC school on Signing Day – Wed., Nov. 8, 2023 – so anything can happen!
