Signing Profile: SEC-Bound Kylee Gleason Ready to “Make A Name For Myself”

Kylee Gleason is one of nine who signed with South Carolina this year! She’s a talented slapper who had a .683 batting average for her team at May River (Bluffton, South Carolina) High, where she signed on Wednesday.

One reason the Gamecocks of South Carolina had a Top 25 Signing Class—in addition to it being the biggest we’ve come across with NINE signees!—was because of the pickup of in-state standout infielder Kylee Gleason.

Kylee is a power-hitting slapper who coaches say has one of the best mental approaches and IQ at the plate for what she does.

This summer, playing with the South Carolina Elite team coached by Tony Genovese, the current senior batted .487 with a .510 on-base percentage against some of the top club teams in the nation.

As a junior, Kylee earned 1st Team All-State honors and her third All-Region selection in a row after batting a remarkable .683 with a .733 on-base percentage and also driving in 23 runs in 25 games. And she used her great speed to not only get on base but to steal 36 bases in 38 attempts.

Here’s a nice video piece done by WJCL News interviewing Kylee:

… and her official Twitter announced released by South Carolina:
