The 2026 Stars Over Mississippi Summer Showcase once again brought together many of the Southeast’s premier fastpitch softball programs for a weekend of high-level competition, college exposure, and championship play.
Hosted by DC Elite Productions at Cornerstone Sports Complex in Starkville, Mississippi, the event featured talented teams competing across the 14U, 16U, and 18U divisions in front of college coaches and softball evaluators.

Evaluating Excellence
Extra Inning Softball’s Tournament Performance Rankings recognize athletes who distinguish themselves during a specific event through consistent, impactful performances. Unlike season-long rankings, Tournament Performance Rankings focus exclusively on what athletes accomplish throughout the course of a single tournament.
Championship teams are recognized for their success throughout the event, while individual Top Performers are selected based on their ability to consistently influence games on both offense and defense, excel in pressure situations, and contribute to their team’s success against quality competition.
Powered by the SERVâ„¢ Methodology
Every Tournament Performance Ranking is evaluated using Extra Inning Softball’s proprietary SERVâ„¢ Methodology, a structured four-part evaluation framework designed to provide consistency, transparency, and accountability throughout the rankings process.
The Software component helps organize tournament information and identify performance trends throughout the event. Evaluation consists of Rankings Committee members reviewing athlete performances, game impact, consistency, and overall production during the tournament. Research adds additional context by considering the level of competition, quality of opponents, and situational performance.
Finally, Verification allows evaluators to confirm performances with coaches, tournament personnel, trusted evaluators, or additional supporting information when necessary.

Champions Crowned
Every tournament creates memorable moments, and the Stars Over Mississippi Summer Showcase delivered plenty. As teams competed for championships, individual athletes separated themselves with standout performances against quality competition.
Now, let’s take a look at the Champions and Top Performers from each division. ✨👇
14U Champions
The 14U division featured outstanding competition throughout the weekend, with Lady Fury Premier capturing the championship after an impressive run through the bracket. Consistent offense, strong defensive play, and timely execution in key moments helped power Lady Fury Premier to the Stars Over Mississippi Summer Showcase 14U championship.
14U Top Performers
Anna LeBlanc earned #1 Overall and #1 Infielder honors at the Stars Over Mississippi Summer Showcase after leading Lady Fury Premier to the 14U championship with an outstanding all-around performance. The Class of 2030 standout impressed with her defensive consistency, offensive production, and ability to deliver in key moments throughout the tournament.
An All-District selection for Central Private High School, LeBlanc hit .500 with 31 runs scored and 24 stolen bases during the 2026 season. Her walk-up song is “GOD IS GOOD” by Forrest Frank, a reflection of the faith and steady mindset she brings to the field every game.
Aniyah Hopkins earned #1 Pitcher/Hitter honors at the Stars Over Mississippi Summer Showcase after showcasing her ability to dominate on both sides of the game throughout the tournament for Florida Premier 2030. The Class of 2031 standout made an impact in the circle and at the plate, continuing to prove why she is one of the nation’s most dynamic young two-way players.
Hopkins’ accomplishments include a 100-strikeout season, 12 home runs in a single season, and earning Overall MVP at the USSSA National Tournament. Her walk-up song, “SoIcy Boyz 2,” reflects the confident, high-energy mindset she brings to every at-bat.
Chloe Murray earned #1 Catcher honors at the Stars Over Mississippi Summer Showcase after an outstanding tournament behind the plate and at the plate for Florida Premier 2030. The Class of 2030 backstop showcased strong defensive leadership, consistent offensive production, and the ability to make an impact in key moments throughout the weekend.
Murray enters the season after batting .505 with 10 home runs while also earning multiple tournament MVP honors. Her walk-up song is “Sweet Escape” by Gwen Stefani, a fun choice that helps her stay relaxed and confident before every at-bat.
Aubrey Kirkpatrick earned #1 Outfielder honors at the Stars Over Mississippi Summer Showcase after a standout tournament showcasing her athleticism, versatility, and ability to impact the game on both sides of the ball. The Class of 2030 standout plays multiple positions but shined in the outfield with consistent play throughout the weekend.
Kirkpatrick has already made an impressive mark in her career, earning a varsity starting role as a seventh grader and receiving All-District and All-County recognition as an eighth grader. Her walk-up song is “10K” by KB, reflecting the faith that serves as the foundation of both her life and her game.
Brooklyn Adams earned #1 Hitter honors at the Stars Over Mississippi Summer Showcase after an exceptional offensive performance throughout the tournament, consistently producing at the plate and helping power Florida Premier 2030’s lineup. The Class of 2030 standout, who plays catcher, shortstop, and utility, is known for her powerful swing and clutch hitting.
Adams also helped lead her middle school team to a 2026 County Championship. Her personal motto, “Faith first, fear never,” is reflected in her walk-up song, “10K” by KB, a Christian anthem that keeps her focused and confident every time she steps into the batter’s box.
16U Champions
The 16U division featured outstanding competition throughout the weekend, but it was NOLA Fastpitch White that rose to the top. Combining timely hitting, strong defensive play, and consistent execution in key moments, Nola Fastpitch White captured the Stars Over Mississippi Summer Showcase 16U championship.
16U Top Performers
Ava Martinez earned #1 Overall and #1 Pitcher/Hitter honors at the Stars Over Mississippi Summer Showcase after a dominant all-around performance that helped lead NOLA Fastpitch White to the 16U championship at the Stars Over Mississippi Summer Showcase. The Class of 2028 standout excelled in the circle and at the plate, consistently making an impact in key moments throughout the tournament.
Martinez is a 2026 Second Team All-District selection and was recognized by Prep Softball as one of the Top 10 players in the New Orleans area who made significant strides in 2026.  Her favorite Bible verse, 1 Peter 5:7 — “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you,” reflects the faith and composure she brings to every game.
Jakayla Byrd earned #1 Catcher honors at the Stars Over Mississippi Summer Showcase after an outstanding tournament performance behind the plate and in the heart of the lineup for TN Mojo 28/29 – Parvin. The Class of 2029 standout demonstrated leadership, defensive consistency, and offensive power, continuing to build on a resume that includes multiple home runs in a season, more than 30 RBIs, and earning her team’s cleanup spot.
Her walk-up song, “Bruce Wayne” by YoungBoy Never Broke Again, reflects her belief that you don’t have to be the loudest player on the field to make a big impact.
Addie Lee earned #1 Infielder honors at the Stars Over Mississippi Summer Showcase after an exceptional tournament, showcasing her defensive range, clutch hitting, and leadership for TN Mojo – McDowell. The Class of 2028 shortstop consistently delivered in key moments, including a game-winning double in extra innings that drove in two runs during Stars Over Mississippi.
A three-time All-Area selection in softball and one of the top statistical performers in her region, Lee continues to establish herself as one of the Southeast’s premier infielders. Known for the signature pink ribbon she wears in every game, Lee says it’s become her trademark and a reminder of the joy she finds in competing.
Carleigh Butts earned #1 Outfielder honors at the Stars Over Mississippi Summer Showcase after an impressive weekend, showcasing her speed, defensive playmaking, and ability to come through in clutch situations for Tennessee Mojo – Parvin. The Class of 2029 standout made her presence felt throughout the tournament, highlighted by a bases-loaded double that helped spark her team when it mattered most.
Butts says her dream has always been to play for The University of Alabama, and she credits her faith and her father—who has been her longtime coach and mentor—for helping fuel that pursuit.
Emily Reed earned #1 Hitter honors at the Stars Over Mississippi Summer Showcase after delivering one of the tournament’s most productive offensive performances for Illusions Farmer. The Class of 2028 standout consistently came through in key moments, including helping secure a dramatic walk-off victory during bracket play. A versatile pitcher and utility player, Reed pairs her success on the field with excellence in the classroom, maintaining a 4.0 GPA while competing at both the high school and travel ball levels.
Reed’s personal motto is “Don’t think too much,” a reminder to trust her training, play with confidence, and simply enjoy the game.
The Recognition Continues
Tournament Performance Rankings are just one part of Extra Inning Softball’s commitment to recognizing athletes who perform at a high level throughout the travel softball season. As more showcases and tournaments are evaluated, additional players will earn performance-based recognition for their accomplishments on the field.
What’s Next
The Class of 2030 National Rankings nominations are now open through August 24th. Coaches, parents, and organizations are encouraged to submit deserving athletes for Regional and National Rankings consideration before the nomination deadline.
