The Southern Force Fastpitch Program is comprised of 17 teams overall, starting in the 8U division and culminating in Coach Dale Palmer’s 18U National team, which is stacked with athletes committed to play at the highest level.
While the elite squad is based in Huntsville, Alabama, the Force boasts players from all across the south, including Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia.
The core of the program began in the 14U division, working together to develop as a Top 8 finisher at the Team 1 Elite invitational—prior to the event being rained out—as well as 9th a Colorado IDT at the end of their 16U season.
Additionally, the team fought its way out of the loser’s bracket at the National Fastpitch Alliance National Championship in Ruston, Louisiana, winning nine consecutive games to claim the championship.
Following the impressive growth from 14s to 16s, Coach Palmer decided to expand the squad, adding Julianne Tipton, an Arizona State pitching commit, as well as a few other Division I athletes that transformed the team into the elite 18U squad it is today.
