Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them? Texas Glory is known to be the very best softball organization in North Texas. They have a national reputation for developing players, providing great coaches and competing against the best talent in the country. I joined Texas Glory in 12U with a goal to play-up a level for 14U/16U Naudin and 18U Shelton. The most talented athletes are on those teams and they’re always matched up against the best teams in every tournament.

Do you have any suggestions for training methods or apps and why? I’ve always been a multi-sport athlete. I played club and HS lacrosse and volleyball, in addition to club and HS softball. I never get out of shape. The skill-sets you learn in one sport always seem to translate to another sport. You can develop all of your muscles when you play several sports. It’s also great mental strength training, too. These sports helped me develop great endurance, explosive speed, elite hand-eye, strength and lean muscle mass. When it comes to any sport, I would recommend spending the majority of time on the playing surface. I love to be challenged by someone hitting flyballs or groundballs on the softball field. I also prefer taking batting practice on the field. I think that’s more valuable than hitting balls in a batting cage. It’s easier to tweak your swing on the field than it is in a cage because you get instant feedback. You see the results immediately. It goes without saying, it’s important to spend time in the weight room.
Can you tell us about your experience at PGF Nationals/Alliance Nationals this summer? I didn’t have the opportunity to compete at Nationals last summer, but any opportunity to perform is always exciting.
What was your favorite fall tournament/event and why? I like all of the tournaments. I enjoy spending time with my teammates and competing against the best. We have so much fun together on and off the field.
Which player/team was your toughest opponent and why? (Texas) Bombers Gold and Athletics Mercado have always been challenging.

Can you tell us about your decision to commit to Texas Tech? I chose Texas Tech for several reasons: TTU is a great Power 5 school with outstanding academics. The athletic programs are amazing and their facilities take a back seat to nobody. The coaches are great, they’re committed to building a competitive program and I’d like to be a part of that. The support they offered me to be successful on and off the field was impressive and humbling. TTU is beautiful and offers a great atmosphere. It’s an environment I’ll be able to thrive in.
What areas are you interested in future occupations and why? I’m leaving my options open for now. I like the idea of business, marketing, sports management and engineering. The thought of working for the FBI one day has crossed my mind, too.
Who is your sports hero and why? I like Mike Trout. He’s a great role model, teammate and athlete. He represents his team and his sport very well.
What’s the best hype song and why? “The Next Episode” (by Dr. Dre feat. Snoop Dogg, Kurupt and Nate Dogg) or “Best Song Ever” (by One Direction). They’re fun.
What’s your favorite TV show to binge and why? I love to watch “Blue Bloods” and crime-solving shows.
Do you have a secret talent/skill? I’m a great hip-hop dancer.
