Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them? I got involved with my current travel ball team in 2021 when my high school coach, Rob Weil, started the organization. I am still playing with many of my same teammates from my 10U Firecracker team. We have created so many great memories over the years!
Do you have any suggestions for training methods or apps and why? I love to get live-hitting reps on the field with my dad. I also think it is very important to hit off the tee as much as possible to keep your mechanics sharp. For outfield, I like to get live reps from teammates hitting batting practice because it is most like a real game.
Can you tell us about your experience at PGF Nationals this past summer? I had an amazing experience at PGF this summer. There is always great weather and good vibes at the Huntington Beach Sports Complex.
What was your favorite fall tournament/event and why? My favorite fall tournament would be the Vegas Surf City Showcase at Majestic park. I always have a great time there with my teammates going to dinners and top golf.
Which player/team was your toughest opponent and why? During PGF we played a lot of great teams. The best two were probably the (Texas) Bombers because of their great pitching and Beverly Bandits because of their aggressive base running.
Can you tell us why you chose to commit to San Diego State? I chose San Diego State because of the great culture and atmosphere the coaches have created there. The coaching staff have all played at the highest level and can teach me so much about the game. I can’t wait to live at their beautiful campus and by the beach.
What areas are you interested in future occupations and why? I am interested in becoming a physical therapist. After sitting out my sophomore year with a back injury, I want to be able to help other athletes who are going through tough injuries as well. I plan on majoring in Kinesiology at SDSU.
Who is your sports hero and why? Mookie Betts is my favorite player because he is an amazing outfielder and has great energy on the field.
What’s the best hype song and why? I would say “Jump Around” (by House of Pain). I used that for my walk-up song last year and I loved it!
What’s your favorite TV show to binge and why? I love to watch “Friends” at night with my family because I love all of the actors in the show.
Do you have a secret talent/skill? I love to bake on my free time.
