Graduation Year: 2023

Position: 3B

Nickname: “G”

Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them? I’m currently playing for Wildcats-Weil 18U with Coach Rob Weil, who is also my softball coach at school. I know that he likes to win and that’s why I chose to play for him.

Do you have any suggestions for training methods or apps and why? I have used the coolest equipment to train like HitTrax, Blast, a pressure mat, etc., but my favorite and most accessible thing is my camera on my phone. I like to record as many of my at-bats as possible, so that I can go home and analyze them with my hitting coach. This is an easy and super affordable way to see what adjustments need to be made.

Can you tell us about your experience at PGF Nationals this past summer? PGF this past summer was exciting! Had the opportunity to play with and compete against talented athletes. It was also fun to see and meet my future teammates that I will be playing with in college.

What was your favorite fall tournament/event and why? My favorite fall tournament would be the PGF Ultimate Challenge that is held in Salinas. There we got to face good teams and scope out the competition we will be facing this summer.

Which player/team was your toughest opponent and why? Our toughest team to beat was the (Texas) Bombers. The game was close and everyone was on the edge of their seats. Sadly, we came up short, but we put up a good fight.

Can you talk about your decision to commit to Washington? Personally, for me, after attending camps, I was always left wondering what I should be looking for in order to know for sure where my future home should be. After my trip to Washington, I 100 percent knew that I wanted to become a DAWG and play in that beautiful purple. When you know you know. It is not easy to explain, but that saying is very true.

What areas are you interested in future occupations and why? A future career that I see myself doing is digital marketing, because I think I’m a pretty persuasive person and I’m pretty good at coming up with ways to grab people’s attention.

Who is your sports hero and why? My sports hero is my old coach Mark Campbell, who passed away doing what he loved. He helped mold me into the tough athlete I am today and has made the biggest impact in my softball career.

What’s the best hype song and why? The best hype song is “Mesa que Mas Aplauda (za za za)” by Climax because the beat gets me pumped, ready to score some runs.

What’s your favorite TV show to binge and why? Not a TV show, but my favorite series that I can binge any time is the Harry Potter series. My dream is to catch the Golden Snitch.

Do you have a secret talent/skill? A secret talent of mine is being able to guess what time it is throughout the day.
