NORCO’S ROBINSON NAMED TOP COACH OF THE DECADE
MaxPreps took a look at the Top Coaches of the Decade and Norco High, CA, coach Rick Robinson took the honors for softball in the 2010s.
Norco has been dominant in So Cal for a long time, but the Cougars were especially dominant in the 2010s. Robinson guided Norco to a record of 268-54 with an outstanding 29-6 mark in the playoffs for the decade.
The Cougars play in the Big VIII League, arguably the toughest in the country, and Robinson took Norco to six league titles.
CIF-Southern Section Division 1 is considered the most stacked division in the nation and Robinson led the Cougars to Division 1 championships in 2012, 2015, 2018 and 2019.
“I have been blessed with great talent and great staff,” Robinson said.
MaxPreps selected Norco as national champions in 2012, 2018 and 2019.
“It is very humbling to be named the Coach of the Decade with all the great coaches I have competed against over the years,” Robinson said. “A head coach is only as good as their players and staff.”
