Tell us about GA Power and how you became involved with them?
Georgia Academy Power (GAP) is based out of Woodstock, GA. They are a quality organization that really focuses on player development all the way through recruiting. I joined GAP 07-King in the spring of 2021, as I was looking to play at a higher level.

What do you bring to the team?
I am a true Utility/IF/OF who also catches at times. One of my biggest strengths is my softball IQ and along with my speed and athleticism allows me to play almost anywhere on the field. Offensively, I bat in the No. 2 hole for the team. I am a contact hitter while using my power and speed to get on base. In a short amount of time with the team, I believe I have displayed a strong level of leadership on and off the field. I am very supportive of my teammates and enjoy seeing them grow and succeed.

Zoey lays down the bunt.

What area are you focusing on/trying to improve this summer?
This summer, I would like to improve on my pop time along with generating more power within my swing. I’m constantly in the gym, (working) on getting stronger along with speed and agility lessons to keep up my endurance. I would also like to work on footwork speed while in the infield.

Can you talk about your experience at Atlanta Legacy Showcase?
Atlanta Legacy Showcase never disappoints. Although our tournament was cut short by weather, we played some great competition including a lot of teams from out of state, which we have never seen before. Everything from the parks/fields, vendors and (even) the umpires were above average.

Can you tell us about Triple Crown Southeast Nationals and what you hope to accomplish at the event?
I’m really excited and looking forward to playing in the Triple Crown Southeast Nationals since it’s right here in my backyard (North Atlanta). I hope that my team and I can wake up our bats and bring the “power” to allow us to go deep into bracket play.
