Tell us about your joining up with the Sorcerer program and how it’s been, being involved with them?
I play for Sorcerer Premier Yoder 14U based out of Northern California. I wanted to be a Sorcerer because the organization seemed like family, but also because they are a very competitive team with a strong coach that plays elite level tourneys. I really like coach (Karen) Yoder’s style and presence on the field. I felt like she could help me develop into a better player.
What do you bring to the team?
I bring energy and confidence to our team. I can get the energy up when it’s needed. For example, I like to play rock, paper, scissors with my opponents during delays or before umps arrive, but when I step on the mound my alter ego is stone cold. I am confident in myself and my team behind me.
What area are you focusing on/trying to improve this summer?
This summer, I’m really going to focus on commanding my riseball to all quadrants, spinning my change-up faster and tighter, and developing a more useful dropball.
Can you tell us about Boulder IDT and what you hope to accomplish at the event?
I’m super excited about IDT and can’t wait to compete against some of the top teams in the country! I love for me and my team to be challenged. My goal for IDT is to give my team a chance to win, keep us in games. If we catch some scout’s eyes, even better.
