East Coast Softball Sunshine Showcase Heads to Florida

At Extra Inning Softball, travel softball programs searching for meaningful exposure, strong competition and direct access to college coaches, the East Coast Softball Sunshine Showcase is bringing its established showcase model to Florida this November.

Scheduled for Nov. 21-22, 2026, in Clermont, Florida, approximately 30 minutes from Orlando, the Sunshine Showcase will welcome 14U, 16U and 18U teams for a recruiting-focused weekend designed around competition, organization and college coach visibility.

East Coast Softball has more than 12 years of experience operating college showcases and camps, including its established East Coast Summer and Fall Showcases in New Jersey. Founded by former Division I player and coach Rachel Coleman, the organization has built its events around creating opportunities for athletes to perform in front of college programs.

College Exposure Takes Center Stage

The Sunshine Showcase places recruiting exposure at the center of the weekend.

According to tournament organizers, college coaches are guaranteed at every complex and every age group, giving athletes throughout the event opportunities to perform in front of programs at the next level.

Schools committed to attending include Georgia Tech, Florida, North Carolina, Maryland, Florida Atlantic, Louisiana and Stetson, among others.

The showcase is expected to draw travel programs from the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Florida and beyond, bringing athletes from several regions together in one recruiting environment.

For players, that creates another opportunity to establish themselves on recruiting boards, strengthen existing relationships with college programs and demonstrate their abilities in live competition.

More Opportunities to Be Evaluated

Teams participating in the Sunshine Showcase receive a five-game guarantee with the option to play a sixth game.

Games are scheduled in two-hour slots with a finish-the-inning rule beginning at 1 hour and 45 minutes, providing athletes time to showcase their abilities beyond a single at-bat, inning or defensive opportunity.

The $1,950 team entry fee includes umpire fees, while individual guest-player registration is also available.

For college coaches, multiple games can provide a more complete evaluation of an athlete. Beyond physical tools, coaches can observe how players communicate, compete, respond to adversity and perform throughout the weekend.

Showing the Complete Player

Showcase softball isn’t only about statistics and measurable numbers.

College coaches are also evaluating the characteristics that can separate athletes in a competitive recruiting landscape.

How does a player respond after an error? Does she communicate between pitches? How does she handle pressure situations? Does she remain engaged when the ball isn’t coming her way?

Those moments can reveal an athlete’s softball IQ, competitiveness, leadership and overall presence.

The Sunshine Showcase gives players an opportunity to display those qualities alongside their physical abilities in a live-game environment.

A Focus on the Showcase Experience

East Coast Softball also emphasizes the organizational details surrounding the competition.

Its executive team holds a combined three master’s degrees and five bachelor’s degrees in sports management, coaching, education and related fields.

Each complex will feature hired event staff, field crews grooming fields between games and concessions on-site. Tournament organizers also emphasize timely communication and professionally maintained facilities as important pieces of the weekend.

The goal is to allow teams to concentrate on competing, athletes to focus on performing and college coaches to evaluate prospects efficiently.
