The rankings have been calculated. The performances have been verified. The leaderboard is now official.

Following a highly successful weekend at the Midwest Select Showcase, held June 5-7, 2026, at Lou Berliner Sports Park in Columbus, Ohio, Extra Inning Softball is proud to unveil the athletes who earned the top rankings in their respective age divisions as part of the Tournament Performance Rankings presented by Select Showcases and event organizer Mark Skapin.

Extra Inning Softball is proud to recognize the Overall Tournament Performance Rankings leaders from the Midwest Select Showcase following an outstanding weekend of competition.

With high-level competition taking place throughout the weekend, athletes had the opportunity to earn additional national exposure through Extra Inning Softball’s Tournament Performance Rankings platform. After the submission and verification process was completed, the top performers from each age division emerged, earning recognition for their impact and success on the field.

The 12U division was dominated by Ohio Lasers Steed, which capped off an impressive weekend by capturing the Midwest Select Showcase championship. The team’s success was reflected not only in the standings but also throughout the Tournament Performance Rankings leaderboard, as multiple Ohio Lasers Steed athletes earned top honors following their standout performances.

Madison Miller - Class of 2032 - Ohio Lasers Steed 2031
Madison Miller – Class of 2032 – Ohio Lasers Steed 2031

Madison Miller, a Class of 2032 catcher competing for Ohio Lasers Steed, delivered one of the most dominant performances at the Midwest Select Showcase Tournament Performance Rankings held June 5-7 at Lou Berliner Sports Park in Columbus, Ohio.

Miller earned recognition as the No. 1 Overall Player in the 12U division while also claiming the No. 1 Catcher and No. 1 Hitter rankings. Her ability to impact the game on both sides of the ball helped separate her from a talented field of athletes competing throughout the weekend.

Whether she was producing offensively in the batter’s box or leading from behind the plate, Miller consistently found ways to influence the outcome of games. Her standout performance played a key role in Ohio Lasers Steed’s successful tournament run and established her as one of the premier performers at the event.

Alexah Grossman – Class of 2032 – Beverly Bandits Grossman

Alexah Grossman, a Class of 2032 athlete competing for Beverly Bandits Grossman, showcased her versatility and impact at the Midwest Select Showcase. Grossman earned recognition as the No. 1 Pitcher/Hitter in the 12U division after delivering standout performances both in the circle and at the plate throughout the weekend.

Grossman entered the event with an impressive track record, including selection to the 2026 Region 6 USA Softball All-American Team, back-to-back Midwest Extra Inning Softball Rising Stars honors, and 13 tournament championships.

She has also posted outstanding numbers with 296 strikeouts and a 1.512 ERA in the circle while batting .561 with a 1.588 OPS, 157 hits, 71 extra-base hits, and eight home runs.

Grossman’s walk-up song is Air Force Ones” by Nelly, the same song her mom used as a softball player. What started as a Mother’s Day tribute became a tradition she has proudly carried forward ever since.

Kyla Adkins – Class of 2031 – Ohio Lasers Steed

Kyla Adkins, a Class of 2031 infielder competing for Ohio Lasers Steed, turned in an impressive performance at the Midwest Select Showcase. Adkins earned recognition as the No. 1 Infielder in the 12U division after a standout weekend against strong competition.

A versatile player who excels as a pitcher, first baseman, and third baseman, Adkins has established herself as one of the top young athletes in her class.

She has consistently hit above .500 throughout her career, recorded more than 300 strikeouts during her final 10U season, and was the Alliance Fastpitch HFL 12U WHIP leader during the Fall 2025 season.

Adkins also finished among the league leaders with a .538 batting average, .617 on-base percentage, 46 RBIs, and 23 extra-base hits.

At the Midwest Select Showcase, Adkins’ all-around athleticism and defensive consistency helped her rise to the top of the infield rankings. Fun fact: her walk-up song is Stay Fly” by Three 6 Mafia, a fitting choice for a player whose personal motto is, “I’ll either find a way or make one.”

Gaby Maltbie, a Class of 2031 outfielder competing for Ohio Lasers Steed, turned in a standout performance at the Midwest Select Showcase Tournament Performance. Maltbie earned recognition as the No. 1 Outfielder in the 12U division after an impressive weekend against strong competition.

Maltbie’s consistency and defensive excellence helped her rise to the top of the outfield rankings. Over the past year, she recorded just two strikeouts at the plate and only one error defensively, showcasing the reliability and toughness that have become trademarks of her game.

A standout athlete who also competes in basketball and track, Maltbie credits her success to strong fundamentals and a willingness to overcome adversity.

One of her most memorable softball moments came when she made a running over-the-shoulder catch in the semifinals of the 12U PGF Championship to help send her team to the title game.

Her walk-up song, Headlines” by Drake, reflects her mindset of focusing on herself rather than outside opinions—a mentality that helped her earn the top outfielder ranking at one of the summer’s premier showcase events.

Ohio Bombers 2011 14U Midwest Select Champions

The 14U championship was claimed by Ohio Bombers 2011, which battled through a talented field to emerge as the division champions at the Midwest Select Showcase. While the Bombers celebrated the team title, several athletes from across the division delivered standout individual performances that earned recognition on the Tournament Performance Rankings leaderboard.

Kilee Bullard - Class of 2030 - Ohio Outlaws Premier Medley
Kilee Bullard – Class of 2030 – Ohio Lasers Zedeker

Kilee Bullard, a a Class of 2030 pitcher competing for Ohio Lasers 2030 Zedeker, earned recognition as the No. 1 Overall Player and No. 1 Pitcher/Hitter in the 14U division at the Midwest Select Showcase.

This past spring, Bullard led her junior high team with 17 home runs and 177 strikeouts, demonstrating her ability to dominate both at the plate and in the circle.

One of Bullard’s favorite softball memories came when she launched a home run at the PGF Best of the Best event in Evansville, Indiana, helping secure a quarterfinal victory for her team.

Her walk-up song, Pour It Up” by Rihanna, reflects the determined mindset that drives her success, as she believes there is always another level to reach and another goal to chase.

Adele Hamlin – Class of 2031 – Ohio Lasers Zedeker

Adele Hamlin, a Class of 2031 catcher and first baseman competing for Ohio Lasers 2030 Zedeker, earned recognition as the No. 1 Hitter and No. 1 Catcher in the 14U division at the Midwest Select Showcase.

Hamlin’s offensive production throughout the season has been impressive, posting a .480 batting average across 68 games while recording 61 runs scored, 54 RBIs, 15 triples, 10 doubles, and four home runs. Her ability to consistently get on base and produce in key situations helped her stand out against some of the event’s top competition.

Behind the plate, Hamlin’s leadership and softball IQ helped separate her from the competition throughout the weekend. She credits coaches Michael Estep and Adam Lalonde for helping her develop as both a player and leader. Fun fact: her walk-up song choice would be Money for Nothing” by Dire Straits, a song she says gets her ready to compete.

Hamlin also appreciates how Extra Inning Softball helps athletes gain exposure, noting that the platform makes it easy for players to get their names in front of college coaches.

 

Braylin Bentley - Class of 2029 - Indy Crush Premier Walker
Braylin Bentley – Class of 2029 – Indy Crush Premier Walker

Braylin Bentley, a Class of 2029 middle infielder and third baseman competing for Indy Crush 14U Premier Walker, earned recognition as the No. 1 Infielder in the 14U division at the Midwest Select Showcase.

Bentley arrived at the event with an impressive résumé that includes multiple Softball Youth All-American selections, a Softball Youth World Series Championship, World Series All-Tournament Team honors, and MVP recognition at the 2024 Softball Youth All-American Games.

She also recently earned a varsity letter at Edgewood High School, posting a .388 batting average, 1.014 OPS, and 26 RBIs against high school competition as a freshman.

One of Bentley’s most memorable moments came during the Midwest Select Showcase. when she hit her first career walk-off grand slam, a moment made even more meaningful as it came on the anniversary of her grandmother’s passing.

Her walk-up song, Here Comes the Boom” by Nelly, reflects the nickname she has carried since she was eight years old and the power she brings to the field. Bentley also credits Indy Crush coach Lorenzo Walker for helping build her confidence and elevate her game to new heights.

Piper Ohlson, a Class of 2029 outfielder and third baseman competing for Illinois Sluggers 14U Dodson, earned recognition as the No. 1 Outfielder in the 14U division at the Midwest Select Showcase.

For Ohlson, the honor marks the first major recognition of her softball career, making the achievement even more meaningful. Her standout play throughout the weekend helped her rise to the top of a talented group of outfielders while continuing the momentum from an impressive freshman high school season at Lake Park High School.

One of Ohlson’s favorite softball memories came this spring when she hit a game-winning three-run home run for her high school team. She credits much of her recent success to hitting coach Kinzie Hansen, who helped her become more relaxed and confident at the plate.

Ohlson’s personal hitting reminder, Good hitters hit good pitches,” has helped fuel her growth, as she recently improved from 12 hits during her first travel season to 18 hits over a 17-game stretch.

The 16U division concluded with co-champions Armor Elite Premier Fox 27/28 and Thunder Elite Premier Ferrari, two teams that showcased impressive talent and consistency throughout the Midwest Select Showcase.

Haley Helm - Class of 2027 - Armor Elite Premier Fox
Haley Helm – Class of 2027 – Armor Elite Premier Fox

Haley Helm, a Class of 2027 pitcher competing for Armor Elite Premier Fox 27/28 and committed to James Madison University, earned recognition as the No. 1 Overall Player and No. 1 Pitcher/Hitter in the 16U division at the Midwest Select Showcase.

Helm entered the event as one of Illinois’ most accomplished players, earning three consecutive Big Twelve Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, and All-Conference honors.

During the 2026 high school season, she recorded 319 strikeouts, the second-highest total in Illinois, while also blasting 18 home runs, tying for third-most in the state.

Helm credits much of her success to her family, especially her older sister Kaitlyn, who has been her biggest supporter throughout her softball journey. Her personal motto, “WE > ME,” reflects the team-first mentality that has helped her become one of the nation’s top Class of 2027 prospects.

Aubrey Fox, a Class of 2027 athlete competing for Armor Elite Premier Fox 27/28, earned recognition as the No. 1 Infielder and No. 1 Hitter in the 16U division at the Midwest Select Showcase.

Fox has built an impressive résumé both in high school and travel softball, earning two team MVP awards, two HHC All-Conference selections, and two Third Team 3A All-State honors while helping Pendleton Heights reach the 2026 3A Semi-State.

On the travel circuit, she has also earned multiple AGL All-Tournament Team selections and recognition from national media outlets.

 Fox credits much of her success to her mother, DeAnn, who has coached her throughout her travel ball career. Her walk-up song, Don’t Stop the Party” by Pitbull, perfectly reflects her energy and team-first mindset, as she prides herself on keeping the dugout loud, positive, and engaged regardless of the score.

Mycah Massey – Class of 2028 – Athletics Premier

Mycah Massey, a Class of 2028 utility player competing for Athletics Premier 16U, earned recognition as the No. 1 Catcher in the 16U division at the Midwest Select Showcase.

A two-time varsity starter at Pickerington Central High School, Massey has established herself as one of the top young players in Ohio, earning First Team All-OCC honors while blasting 10 home runs during the 2026 season.

Her versatility allows her to contribute at catcher, third base, and in the outfield, but it was her performance behind the plate that helped her rise to the top of the catcher rankings.

Massey credits much of her development to Athletics Premier coach Kayla Ledbetter, who has coached her since she was 10 years old. A former three-sport athlete, she attributes her success to hard work and perseverance. Her walk-up song choice would be Turn My Swag On” by Soulja Boy, a song she says always gets her ready to compete.

Ella Moore, a Class of 2028 outfielder competing for Cindy Doom Varner, earned recognition as the No. 1 Outfielder in the 16U division at the Midwest Select Showcase.

Moore distinguished herself throughout the weekend with her athleticism, defensive consistency, and ability to make an impact in key moments against strong competition.

Her performance helped her rise above a talented field of outfielders competing at one of the summer’s premier showcase events.

From tracking down balls in the outfield to contributing to her team’s success throughout the tournament, Moore’s all-around play showcased why she earned the top spot in the outfield rankings. Her standout weekend established her as one of the division’s most impactful performers.

Maddie Nevitt – Class of 2026 – Indiana Shockwaves Grayson

Maddi Nevitt, a Class of 2026 right-handed pitcher competing for Indiana Shockwaves Grayson and committed to Northern Illinois University, earned recognition as the No. 1 Overall Player in the 18U division at the Midwest Select Showcase

Nevitt entered the event with an impressive résumé that includes Indiana First Team All-State honors, Indiana All-Star recognition, three AFCS qualifications, and both the single-season and career strikeout records at Tri-County High School.

Her performance throughout the weekend helped lead Indiana Shockwaves Grayson to the 18U championship while securing the top overall ranking in the division.

Nevitt credits much of her development to Indiana Shockwaves coach Tommy Grayson, who has helped push her to new levels throughout her career. Her favorite walk-up song is Can’t Stop” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and she says Extra Inning Softball has provided valuable exposure while helping recognize the hard work athletes put into their game.

Annie Valentine, a Class of 2029 infielder competing for Indiana Shockwaves Grayson, turned in one of the most impressive offensive performances of the Midwest Select Showcase.

Valentine earned recognition as both the No. 1 Hitter and No. 1 Infielder in the 18U division, showcasing her ability to impact the game offensively while also excelling defensively. Her consistent production throughout the weekend helped her stand out among a talented field of athletes competing at the event.

A key contributor to Indiana Shockwaves Grayson’s championship run, Valentine delivered when her team needed her most and demonstrated the complete skill set that made her one of the division’s top overall performers. Her success at the plate and in the field helped solidify her place among the tournament’s elite athletes.

Tovaria Smith, a Class of 2026 utility player competing for Indiana Shockwaves Grayson and committed to Indiana Wesleyan University, earned recognition as the No. 1 Outfielder in the 18U division at the Midwest Select Showcase.

Smith’s athleticism, versatility, and consistency throughout the weekend helped her rise to the top of the outfield rankings while contributing to Indiana Shockwaves Grayson’s championship run.

A four-year varsity starter who attended three different high schools during her career, Smith has demonstrated the adaptability and resilience needed to thrive in new environments and continue performing at a high level.

One of her favorite softball memories came during the Ohio Stingrays Showcase when she battled through a 10-plus pitch at-bat before delivering a walk-off grand slam.

Her walk-up song, “Go Hard or Go Home,” reflects the mindset she brings to every game, while her personal motto, “Control what you can control,” continues to guide her both on and off the field.

 

Maggie Kern - Class of 2027 - Indiana Shockwaves Grayson

Maggie Kern, a Class of 2027 catcher and first baseman competing for Indiana Shockwaves National 18U–White, earned recognition as the No. 1 Catcher in the 18U division at the Midwest Select Showcase.

Kern has established herself as one of Indiana’s top backstops, earning Second Team All-HCC honors while helping Noblesville High School capture a sectional championship.

During the 2026 high school season, she hit an impressive .462 with six home runs and 27 RBIs against one of the toughest schedules in the state, while also posting a .459 average during the fall travel season.

Kern credits her father for helping shape her work ethic and drive to improve every day. A former baseball player before transitioning to softball, she values the lessons the game has taught her about perseverance and hard work.

She also appreciates how Extra Inning Softball helps athletes gain visibility and recognition for their accomplishments.

Phebe Kiefer - Class of 2027 - Cincy TNT
Phebe Kiefer – Class of 2027 – Cincy TNT

Phebe Kiefer, a Class of 2027 pitcher and outfielder competing for Cincy TNT, earned recognition as the No. 1 Pitcher/Hitter in the 18U division at the Midwest Select Showcase.

Kiefer entered the event as one of the top players in southwest Ohio, earning GCL Pitcher of the Year, First Team All-GCL, the Coaches Award, and an Academic GPA Award during her high school career at Badin High School. Her ability to contribute both in the circle and at the plate was on full display throughout the weekend, helping her rise to the top of the Pitcher/Hitter rankings.

Kiefer credits her father as her biggest mentor, helping her continue to improve through hard work and dedication to the game. Her walk-up song, All the Stars” by SZA and Kendrick Lamar, serves as a reminder of the strong relationships she shares with her family and friends and the support system that has helped fuel her softball journey.

Understanding Tournament Performance Rankings

Tournament Performance Rankings are designed to measure how athletes perform within the competitive environment of a specific event, providing a data-driven evaluation against the athletes they are directly competing alongside.

Each ranking is generated through a combination of verified tournament statistics, individual performance impact, results during bracket play, quality of competition, and overall team performance throughout the weekend.

As Tournament Performance Rankings continue to expand across the country, Extra Inning Softball remains committed to creating meaningful exposure opportunities while recognizing athletes who deliver standout performances when the competition is at its highest level.

The Momentum Continues at Extra Inning Softball

Extra Inning Softball is currently accepting Rising Stars Futures Watchlist nominations for athletes in the Classes of 2031 through 2034, giving young players an opportunity to gain national exposure and recognition. Coaches and parents can submit nominations through the rankings portal before the June 30 deadline.

Looking ahead, nomination season continues to build momentum as submissions for the Class of 2030 Regional and National Athlete Rankings are scheduled to open later this summer. Families, coaches, and organizations are encouraged to stay connected with Extra Inning Softball for upcoming ranking launches, watchlists, leaderboards, athlete features, and Tournament Performance Rankings events.
