Top 10 Softball Stories of 2023… And Others Considered

Later in January will mark the sixth anniversary of Extra Inning Softball and what a ride it’s been.

We’ve seen everything from COVID in 2020 to the explosive growth of the Transfer Portal and NIL (for Name, Image & Likeness) deals.

In 2022 we also saw the retirement of the winningest coach in NCAA history, Carol Hutchins of Michigan who compiled 1,707 victories in her storied career.

And speaking of greatness, how about the Oklahoma Sooners picking up a seventh national championship trophy and third in a row in 2023.

Yes, there’s been a lot of exciting things of note recently and we’re sure there are more to come…
