Utah Head Coach Amy Hogue Announces Nine-Game Fall Slate

SALT LAKE CITY – University of Utah softball head coach Amy Hogue has announced the fall schedule for her 2023-24 squad and it will include nine matchups, eight of which will take place within the friendly confines of the Dumke Family Softball Stadium.

“I’m excited for our fall games,” said Hogue. “It’s always great to see what the new players can do and how quickly we can integrate them into our group.

“Everything we have on the schedule is at home or at least nearby, so I’m hoping to get some fans out to see our new team. We had an amazing amount of support in the spring and I know we gained some new fans, so I’m hoping we have a bunch of people out to see us soon!”

The Utes will start their fall slate on their home field on Sept. 19 by facing Salt Lake Community College at 4 p.m., followed two days later by another home contest, this one against Utah State at 6 p.m. The only road game on the schedule for the Utes will take place on Sept. 26 at Utah Valley at 6 p.m.

The busiest day on the fall docket for Hogue’s crew will be Sept. 30, when they’ll play twice, starting with a 1:30 p.m. tilt with Utah Tech, followed a matchup with Weber State at 4 p.m.

Utah and Utah Tech will square off again on Oct. 1 at 11 a.m., followed by a home date with UVU on Oct. 3. The Utes will close out the fall with a pair of Red and White scrimmages, the first one on Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. and the second on Oct. 9.

All of Utah’s fall ball games will be free to the public and will give fans their first chance to see the Utes in action since their run to the 2023 Women’s College World Series. The Utes finished the year ranked No. 7 nationally, the highest ranking in program history and they set program records for most all-conference and all-region selections and most Pac-12 victories while piling up 42 wins, fourth-most in school history.
