I never know what I’m going to find when I go to my e-mail inbox… I get sent a lot of video of games, big plays, and everything you could think of when it comes to softball.
But today I received a clip unlike any I have EVER seen: an enraged hitter who makes contact with the ball and then storms the mound, hurling her bat at the pitcher!
OK, that’s a wee bit of an exaggeration: the batter here appears to be in 6U and the only one shocked in this video is this adorable little girl who does put the ball in play and then, when everyone is yelling at her to “Run!” she heads to the mound and–we think–returns the bat to the coach/pitcher!
She then uses her 2.5 home-to-first speed to jet down the line but to no avail… she’s already been tagged out. And in this case, “2.5” is in terms of minutes, not seconds!
This is SO cute and brings a smile as an example of everything fun and right about softball… and how funny it can be too!
What do you think? If you have a reaction you’d like to share–or your own favorite softball video clip–forward it to me!
