One of the best shortstops in the country pre-college age is Julia Crenshaw, a 2021 grad committed to Missouri who plays for Evan Beatty’s St. Louis Chaos 18U team and is rated in the Top 15 of the 2021 Extra Elite 100.
We caught up with coach and infielder at Top Club National last week after a game with Texas Glory and 2020 standout shortstop Jayda Coleman where Julia also impressed in the field and at the plate.
The 5-foot-10 athlete has a rocket arm and 2.7 home-to-first speed. Coach Beatty compares her to another great shortstop he coached who’s now in the SEC and one Power 5 coach said he thought she was the “best shortstop in the next two classes!”
Yes, the Mizzou commit is great with the glove and the “stick” which for her has two meanings in two different sports!
