START OR STEP BACK RULE
One of the hot topics in the softball world right now is the pitching rule change for how a pitcher can start her pitch in 2020. It’s all about the “Start Back” rule and the “Step Back” rule. The “Start Back” rule is for college and PGF and the “Step Back” rule is for USA Softball, USSSA and high school.
Amanda Scarborough, a former two-time All-American and Big 12 Conference Player of the Year at Texas A&M and an ESPN broadcaster, did an excellent job describing the pitching rule change and giving examples of the “Start Back” and “Step Back” rules in a video she posted last month.
Turnin2 2022 P/OF Nevaeh Ingram got in some work practicing the new rule change.

COACH MULVANY AKA COACH BOOGIE
Southern Miss assistant coach/recruiting coordinator Mark Mulvany can only fight the feeling for so long before he is forced to get funky. TLI has dubbed him Coach Boogie for his natural funkiness.
