Breaking News: 2024 Extra Elite 100 Updated Player Rankings to Begin Sept.14, 2020!

Extra Inning Softball announced today the dates of publication for the list of the top 100 players in the Class of 2024 as part of the next installment in the prestigious Extra Elite 100 series: the updated 2024 Extra Elite 100!

Note: the next set of rankings after the 2024’s will be the 2021 Extra Elite 100 in October prior to Signing Day!

The extensive coverage, including player bios and photos, of the 2024 Class will start Monday, September 14, 2020 and wrap up with the #1 overall prospect to be announced on Friday, September 25, 2020.

The following week—September 28-to-October 2—will feature the following:

• the Class of 2024 players ranked #’s 101-500,
• a spotlight on the top player in the class,
• position rankings (pitchers, catchers, infielders, outfielders)

This follows the previous Extra Elite 100 rankings published over the last year for the Classes of 2020, ’21, ’22 and ‘25. The 2023 Extra Elite 100 rankings were the most recently published (July, 2020).

The rankings are led by Brentt Eads, Extra Inning Softball’s President & Executive Editor, along with the Extra Inning Softball staff as well as more than 250 college and club scouts and coaches.

Eads, who originated the top 100 rankings lists used in softball, has now ranked more than a decade of grad classes (2014 to 2025) with a total of 31 updates.

• Wed., Sept. 16, 2020: #’s 80-71
• Thu., Sept. 17, 2020: #’s 70-61
• Fri., Sept. 18, 2020: #’s 60-51

• Mon., Sept. 21, 2020: #’s 50-41
• Tues., Sept. 22, 2020: #’s 40-31
• Wed., Sept. 23, 2020: #’s 30-21
• Thu., Sept. 24, 2020: #’s 20-11
• Fri., Sept. 25, 2020: #’s 10-1

• Mon., Sept. 28, 2020: Extra Elite 100 #1 Player Spotlight
• Tues., Sept. 29, 2020: #’s 101-200
• Wed., Sept. 20, 2020: #’s 201-300

Recommendations/nominations are preferred from club and college coaches/scouts, but players and families can send info which will be kept on file.

Anyone who would like to submit a nomination, include any or all of the following: player stats, honors, individual and team accomplishments, recruiting news (campus visits, camps, favorite colleges, etc.), human interest insights, a head shot and, if available, a good action photo.
