Every class has its defining programs, but the Class of 2028 has emerged as one of the most dynamic and influential groups in the game today. These athletes have been fixtures on the national stage since their early years in 12U and 14U, and the organizations behind them continue to shape the competitive landscape at the sport’s highest levels. Through multi-year evaluation data, nomination patterns, and sustained performance trends, Extra Inning Softball has identified the programs that consistently separate themselves from the rest.
These are the teams you see battling late into championship brackets, anchoring Power Pool schedules, and producing athletes who appear everywhere—from regional watchlists to national features to high-impact highlight reels. Their lineups run deep. Their reputations carry weight. And their influence is unmistakable inside our analytics.
This isn’t a ranking.
It’s a recognition of the Programs Defining the Class of 2028—the names every softball family already knows.
