The Impact has become the fifth team to announce its roster for the Florida Gulf Coast League (FGCL) summer season.

Ashton Hinds

The team will be led by Ashton Hinds, whose softball background includes playing D1 at Bethune-Cookman University, coaching at the collegiate level for seven years and currently with the Florida Power travel organization.

“I’m extremely excited about the roster I have,” said Coach Hinds. “We have girls from great programs and I’m excited to get to know them as players and professionals! I think this is a game of working knowledge, coaching girls from all different types of programs seems like a great way for us to all learn from one another.”

The FGCL will open its summer season June 18 and will offer the athletes an extensive playing and training opportunity. With the disruption of the 2020 spring season, the FGCL hopes to provide the athletes the ability to grow their game.

“I see how this league has impacted collegiate baseball, and I believe the way our sport is growing, this will have a tremendous impact on the marketing aspect of our game and ultimately help grow it,” concluded Coach Hinds.
