Event Preview: Top Gun Select Invite October 27-29, 2023… 170 Teams & 100+ College Coaches to Attend

There are a lot of great travel ball events coming up in October and November and one that has quickly become a national fall favorite is the Top Gun Select Invite that will be held in the Kansas City Metro area the weekend of October 27-29, 2023.

Event organizer Robb Behymer of Top Gun Events says he is excited to be able to host another high-quality club event.

“The Top Gun Select Invite has been in existence for four years,” he explains, “and this tournament has become a Fall must-attend for recruiting.”

That goes for teams as well as college coaches as more than 170 top club programs are expected to compete in the 12U, 12U, 16U and 18U age divisions and there to watch them will be more than 100 college coaches looking for the next generation of fastpitch softball talent.

Top Gun Select Invite has grown exponentially over its first three years, going from a regional event attracting top teams and talent to one that is bringing in teams from across the country.

This year, teams from 15 states will compete from the West Coast—including the West Coast Lady Dukes, formerly the Monarchs from California, and the Snohomish Shock from Washington—to the Southwest (the AZ Hotshots) to the East Coast (the PA Strikers).

More than 170 teams have confirmed their attendance for this year’s Select Invite and along with the play on the fields, the college coaches will also be very interested in the 16U division schedule as well, as there will be a “workout/practice slot” included to showcase to the college coaches the upcoming classes of recruits.
