Extra Inning Softball 14U All-Summer Team (Sept. 6, 2023)

EXTRA INNING SOFTBALL 2023 ALL-SUMMER TEAM

The 18U, 16U,14U and 12U All-Summer Teams feature players across the nation who shined during the Summer of ’23… here are the 14U players honored (below) along with the already profiled 12U honorees:

• 12U Division All-Summer Team

14U DIVISION

MVP PLAYER

Kaylee Hodges, 2027, P/1B, Team North Carolina – Bowman
Kaylee had a tremendous summer campaign as she went 24-2 with 241 strikeouts in 127 innings pitched and produced other impressive numbers including a 0.33 ERA, a .480 WHIP and an opponents’ batting average of only 0.92. But that wasn’t all: she was strong defensively with a .970 fielding percentage and also batted .333 with six homers. Ranked as a Top 3 player in the 2027 Extra Elite 100, Kaylee is also a star off the field as she’s a 1^st degree black belt, a skilled piano player and an honor student with a 4.3 GPA.

MVP PITCHER

Grace Swedarsky, 2026, P, Indiana Magic Gold Bennett/Goddard Carmel
Grace, who also goes by the nickname “Swedes,” was the MVP of the 14U Triple Crown Nationals, made the AFCS Tier 1 Championships All-Tournament Team and was also selected for the Alliance Stars of Tomorrow after a dominating summer that saw her go 31-2 with seven saves. Opposing batters hit just .137 against her—and .133 with runners in scoring position—and she gave up only 11 earned runs all summer to give her a 0.43 ERA. In 179 innings pitched, Grace had 379 strikeouts to only 18 walks. “Swedes” had 16 starts with five or more innings pitched and she had double digit strikeouts in 15 of them.

ALL-SUMMER TEAM

* Addison Allaire, 2027, P, Tampa Mustangs 09 – Pynes
Addison helped the title-winning Mustangs with on both sides of the ball, batting .407 with a .452 on-base percentage over the season and then was key in the PGF 14U Platinum Nationals as she came in the game in the bottom of the 3^rd inning and escaped a bases loaded jam, eventually pitching 4.2 innings and allowing only one earned run to earn the win in a tight 3-2 win.

* Alaina Allyn, 2026, P/3B, Illinois Force – Hutchinson
Alaina helped lead her team to the co-championship at the Scenic City Showcase in Chattanooga, Tenn. as well as a 3^rd place finish at the Savvy Softball Tournament in O’Fallon, Ill. She was a two-way threat, hitting .409 with a .442 on-base percentage and as a pitcher had 65 K’s in 73 innings pitched with a .244 batting average against. Nicknamed “Bob,” Alaina also impressed playing at third when not in the circle.

* Autumn Andreoli, 2028, P/1B, TNT West
Autumn is a lefty pitcher who was a dependable workhorse for her team out of Mechanicsburg, Pa., as she had 248 strikeouts in 161.1 innings and compiled a 2.21 ERA. On offense, she hit .456 in 64 games and had 62 hits of which 23 were for extra bases. She also drove in an even 50 runs while scoring 46 herself.

* Emily Adams, 2026, P/OF, So Cal Athletics – Marinakis/Kennedy
A dangerous two-way player, Emily batted .366 on the season with a .444 average and a .483 on-base percentage in the Alliance Nationals (14U) which the A’s won. In the nine games she had seven RBIs and drove in 10 runs. In the title run, Emily went 6-0 at Alliance Nationals with a 1.65 ERA and had 17 strikeouts in 17 games. She was also accomplished with her glove, producing a 0.983 fielding percentage.
