National Club Team of the Week:
Mojo – Fisher 16U
The Mojo 16U coached by Josh Fisher won the ProSwings Power 50 with excellent pitching including back-to-back shutouts in its semi and final games.

In the finals, Mojo – Fisher knocked off nationally ranked Mojo 2023 – Danley 9-0 thanks to a 15-hit offensive outburst.
- Kierston Deal (2022, South Carolina) threw a complete game one-hit shutout and had 10 strikouts in the game and finished the weekend with 40 K’s in 23.1 innings pitched and a .034 ERA.
- Madison Inscoe (2022, Auburn) also had a strong week as she had 20 K’s and finished the weekend not allowing an earned run
“It was a lot of fun to watch them two sling it,” Coach Fisher said.
Offensively, just about every hitter on the team had big weekends:
- Jayden Gailey (2022, Georia Tech) batted over .600 for the event with two doubles, seven RBIs and scored nine runs.
- KK Mathis (2022, uncommitted) finished the weekend with a .571 mark as she hit two home runs, scored six runs, and had seven RBI.
- Aleyah Terrell (2022, uncommitted) had 10 more to bat .450 for the event with an OBP of .538. Terrell also scored eight runs and had five stolen bases for the event.
- Sylvia Burroughs (2022, previously committed to Virginia now uncommitted) hit .438 with an OBP of .571 and had a home run in the 1st inning of the Finals. She also had 6 RBIs and scored nine runs.
- Juice Condon (2022, South Carolina) hit over .400 and “continued to just be one of the best shortstops in America” per Coach Fisher.
- Reese Hunter (2022, Georgia Tech) “blasted one of the longer home runs we have seen on the travel ball circuit in many years in the semis and continued her excellent summer both offensively and defensively,” said Fisher.
- MK Scott (2022, previously committed to Maryland, now uncommitted) banged out back to back long home runs on Saturday, one a grand slam, finished the event with 10 RBIs.
- Janelle Ilacqua (2022, Michigan) “who has been nothing but consistent this Summer for the Fisher team, continued her fantastic play at second base and found ways to reach base,” continued Fisher
In the Finals, several players made strong contributions including Caydra Parker (2022, South Carolina) who had a two-run double, two walks, and was on base three times; Middle Tennessee State commit Ansley Blevins (2022), potentially had the biggest hit of the game with a two-out RBI single in the 5th to stretch the lead to 2-0; uncommitted 2022
Allyiah Swiney (previously committed to Duke) had an OBP of over .400 for the event; uncommitted 2022 Brinkley Kita batted .375 batting average and saw her OBP at .500 while making multiple diving plays in right field.
“All in all, it was an excellent event for our team,” added Fisher. “It was a collective effort of tremendous pitching, timely and productive hitting and fantastic defense that helped us claim the win. I feel like our kids are playing their best softball at the right time of the Summer.”
The Mojo team has a 24-8 record for the summer and will play in PGF Nationals next week.

Runner-Up / National Club Teams of the Week
* The Birmingham Thunderbolts Premier 2025 team coached by Brandon Kemp continues to have a strong summer at the 14U level and went 7-1 at the Triple Crown Southeast Nationals.
The Bolts had an exciting 8-7 win the championship game over the #20 ranked Tampa Mustangs – Seymour team and Coach Kemp said it was a classic finale.
“This game was an absolute slug fest that featured each team blasting three home runs each,” he told Extra Inning Softball. “Huge swings, huge energy, huge plays, it was probably one of the ‘hypest’ (most energetic) championship environments I have ever been a part of!”
“Picture this,” Coach Kemp continued, “Dad’s in the stands are all taking their shirts off and waving them around their heads and screaming at the top of their lungs for the entire seven inning contest!”
The Premier 2025 team also used the long ball prominently in wins over Atlanta Vipers – Tamborra (three dingers) and against Atlanta Vipers – Harris (a two-run homer won the game).
The Bolts scored 42 runs in the tourney and gave up 22 and some of the key performances on Championships Sunday included:
- Ava Hodo, 4-for-6 with a home run, two doubles and five RBIs
- Daigle Wilson, 3-for-6 with two home runs and four RBIs.
- Kaileigh Byars, 4-for-7 with two home runs and five RBIs
