Golden Bat Award – National Top 5 Most Homeruns
MaxPreps and Extra Inning Softball teamed up this spring to spotlight the most powerful hitters in the country through the Golden Bat Award for Most Home Runs. Every two weeks, top sluggers were recognized—each meeting a strict benchmark for total home runs and offensive impact.
For this final national honor, the Top 5 athletes in the nation were selected based on total home runs, consistency at the plate, and ability to change games with one swing. This award recognizes hitters who brought the thunder—launching balls over the fence, flipping momentum, and driving their teams with game-breaking power all season long.

How the Golden Bat Award for Home Runs Works
MaxPreps and Extra Inning Softball created the Golden Bat Award for Most Home Runs to spotlight the most powerful and game-changing hitters in high school softball. This national award honors athletes who consistently delivered long balls and shifted momentum with one swing.
To qualify, each athlete had to hit a minimum of 26 home runs during the season. From this elite group, the Top 5 home run leaders in the nation were selected based on total homers, offensive consistency, and overall impact at the plate.
These players didn’t just hit—they launched. The Golden Bat for Home Runs celebrates sluggers who cleared the fence, sparked rallies, and powered their teams all spring with unmatched strength and presence at the plate.
