Grateful at the Plate: What Our Ranked Players Are Thankful For – 2028 Kirsten Adams

As part of Extra Inning Softball’s Thanksgiving series, we asked some of the top-ranked players what they’re most thankful for this season. Today, we’re featuring Kirsten Adams a standout in the Class of 2028, who shared a heartfelt message about what matters most to her.

In her message, Adams expressed gratitude for her parents, saying, “I’m so thankful for everything they sacrifice to support me in sports and life. They’ve made it possible for me to chase my dreams and enjoy a fun and healthy childhood.”

I am especially grateful for my parents. I’m most grateful for them because nothing in my life would be possible without them. They sacrifice a lot of their time and money for me to play travel softball, school softball, and school basketball. On top of that, I used to play flag football, and I still play some baseball, so throughout my life, I’ve been able to have fun playing sports because of them.

I am thankful for my dad for coaching and training me to become the best athlete I can be. I am also thankful that I can have dogs and raise them to help someone in need. Having dogs in my life and being part of a service dog program is a big part of my life, and it is all made possible because of their sacrifices. I am also thankful that they provide me with all the basic needs of life so I can have a fun and healthy childhood. These are just a few of the things they do for me, and there is so much more. That is why I am especially grateful for them. – Kirsten Adams

It’s clear that Adams deeply values the support and sacrifices of her parents, a foundation that has played a pivotal role in her athletic journey and personal growth.

Currently ranked #96 in the Extra Elite 100 for the Class of 2028 Outfielder, Adams has made a name for herself with her impressive skills on the field. As a member of Mystics Fastpitch Garrett, she’s shown that hard work and gratitude go hand in hand.

Watch Adams’ full Thanksgiving message below, and check back tomorrow as we continue our ‘Grateful at the Plate’ series with more inspiring stories from top-ranked players.
