USSSA’s Jimmy Greer Hosting EIS/4Flames Combine in Monroe, LA: 11/12U Elite Exposure 

Extra Inning Softball and USSSA Director Jimmy Greer are proud to announce their collaboration to host an Extra Inning Softball Combine—powered by 4Flames Athletics, a leading data capture company founded by JB Slimp—at the Super Elite Invitational, taking place May 2–4 in Monroe, Louisiana. The combine is set to be held at the ULM Softball Complex. 

With more than 50 teams already committed and the event officially sold out, this highly anticipated weekend will feature athletes across the 11U–12U divisions, creating a premier environment for early player evaluation, exposure, and competition. 

This is not simply a setting where athletes leave with raw metrics. Registered participants will receive unique ranking scores tied to both their combine performance and tournament play, creating a comprehensive evaluation that connects verified data with real-game production.

Two-Layer Evaluation System 

Athletes have the opportunity to be evaluated through two distinct—but equally valuable scoring systems: player rankings specific to the tournament and a combine rankings score, in addition to the collected combine metrics, depending on the package selected at registration.

These unique scores provide an added layer of recruiting visibility and recognition, giving athletes a comprehensive way to stand out to college programs based on both their combine performance and real-game play.

With 13.6 million impressions on our website over the past year, Extra Inning Softball is committed to delivering unparalleled exposure, ensuring athletes receive the recognition they deserve.

The athletes combine metrics, along with unique tournament and combine rankings, will be posted on our website for free, accessible to everyone. What’s more, college coaches can request downloadable reports to easily track top talent.

Tournament Ranking Score
Athletes receive a proprietary event ranking tied directly to Extra Inning Softball’s national rankings framework. This score reflects in-game performance within a competitive and comparable tournament environment. 

Combine Metrics & Ranking
Each measurable is tracked, validated, and scored to create a complete athletic profile.  Athletes will receive verified combine data along with a unique ranking score tied specifically to their measurable performance, creating a true combine-based evaluation.

Testing Location

Data testing will take place at the ULM Softball Complex, located at 4709 Bon Aire Dr in Monroe, LA 71203, on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2.

Live Leaderboards

One of the most exciting elements of this event is the integration of live technology throughout the weekend, powered by Virtual Combine, the platform hosting all event leaderboards.

Immediate visibility into combine performance metrics will be available via QR code, with live leaderboards pinned to our Twitter page during the event for even more exposure. Athletes will compete in a dynamic, data-driven environment, ensuring unmatched recognition and visibility.

How We Measure 

Combine scoring is built on a comprehensive, standardized evaluation system structured across three primary performance categories: Offensive Performance Indicators (OPI), Speed Performance Indicators (SPI), and Athletic Performance Indicators (API).

This model ensures that every athlete is measured consistently and compared meaningfully across all events.

Pitchers and catchers also have the option to be evaluated through additional position-specific metrics beyond OPI, SPI, and API. See more details on position-specific metric scoring below.
