Kicking Off the Grateful at the Plate Series: Celebrating Gratitude Across the Softball Community

As the holiday season approaches, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the blessings in our lives and the people and experiences we’re most grateful for. At Extra Inning Softball, we are thrilled to launch our Grateful at the Plate series, a heartfelt celebration of gratitude within the softball community. This special initiative will highlight players from across the country, including those featured in the Extra Elite 100, sharing what they’re thankful for during this meaningful time of year.

Gratitude is a cornerstone of the softball journey—whether it’s the family members cheering from the stands, the coaches guiding players on and off the field, or the teammates who become lifelong friends. Through Grateful at the Plate, we aim to shine a light on these moments of thankfulness, giving players a platform to express what makes their hearts full during the holiday season.

To kick off the series, Extra Inning Softball’s Managing Editor, Jayden Mount, shared her own reflections on gratitude:

“I’m so incredibly grateful for my family and the countless memories we’ve shared, my fiancé and his amazing family, and the opportunity to give back to this wonderful game in so many ways. Most importantly, I’m thankful for the many blessings God has given me,” said Mount. “Hearing from players all over the country about what they’re thankful for is a beautiful reminder of the shared values and connections that make softball so special.”

Up to Thanksgiving, we’ll be sharing stories and videos from players in various classes and regions, offering a glimpse into their personal journeys and what they cherish most during this season of giving thanks. From the friendships forged on the field to the lessons learned through triumphs and challenges, these stories are sure to inspire and remind us all of the power of gratitude.
