Kiley Carr first met legendary University of Michigan Head Coach, Carol Hutchins, when she was just nine years old.
“I told her I was going to play for Michigan one day, and here I am!” commented the student-athlete.
Growing up less than an hour from the campus, Kiley’s family had always been a fan of the program and frequently attended the team’s games.
She has come a long way since first declaring her goal of competing on the big stage, and on September 22nd, Kiley took the next step in making this dream a reality by accepting an offer to continue her academic and athletic career at the University of Michigan.

At the high school level, Kiley is a Division I State Champion at Allen Park and batted .560 with an on-base percentage of .641 in her most recent season. Additionally, she collected 75 hits, 42 RBIs, 24 stolen bases, and seven home runs. At Allen Park, Kiley also competes on the varsity basketball and volleyball teams.
This summer, she competed at the most elite showcases with the Beverly Bandits—Moran. Her impressive performance in the infield and at the plate resulted in a multitude of interest from programs across all divisions.
“Kiley Carrs recruiting really kicked up this summer and by the end of the summer she was getting attention from a lot of schools,” shared her club coach, Chad Moran. “She quickly narrowed it down to Michigan and Notre Dame. At the end of the day, in my opinion, she is just built for Michigan. Being a tough kid from the Detroit area—it just makes perfect sense.”
When September 1st arrived, Kiley was contacted by 25 programs, but had her eye set on one that wasn’t too far from home.

“My family has been behind me supporting me through my journey my entire life, so it was definitely part of my decision when I committed to Michigan. I absolutely love the culture at Michigan,” commented Kiley. “The moment I stepped on campus it felt like home. Growing up, my whole family has been Michigan fans, but actually being on campus as a recruit, it was like I was dreaming. The coaches made me feel like I was already a part of the team. It was the best experience!”
Kiley will graduate in the spring of 2025 and join the University of Michigan Wolverines in the fall. She plans to study topics in the medical field.
