Rising Star Influencer Kate Flanagan may still be early in her softball journey, but her voice already resonates. A Class of 2030 athlete from Alabama and a member of the 12U Southeast Rising Star Watch List, Kate suits up for Birmingham Thunderbolts Premier–Whitaker 14U and plays with purpose, poise, and a team-first mindset. Her perspective is wise beyond her years—and worth hearing.
In this feature, Kate reflects on “Life Lessons Learned from Softball.” Drawing on her experience with the Bolts, she breaks down the habits that matter most—leading by example, embracing discipline, organizing the details, and welcoming pressure as a privilege. She also frames confidence as a daily practice: trust your preparation, accept feedback, and control your effort. Her message is clear and compelling—when you invest in the work and lift your teammates, you build a foundation that lasts far beyond the game.
