Welcome to Madness Monday, our digital deep dive where we toss out the easy answers and take on softball’s most talked-about debates. From team benches to Twitter threads, these are the conversations that have everyone buzzing—and we’re bringing them straight to you.

This week’s question: Is today’s game more about development or exposure?

Katie Lively and Jayden Mount sat down to tackle the tension between long-term growth and short-term visibility. Are we giving athletes what they need—or what looks good on paper?

Here’s how you voted in our Dugout Discussion Polls:

Exposure – 50.35%
Balance of both – 37.76%
Depends on the team/org – 9.09%
Development – 2.80%

The votes leaned hard toward exposure, but the conversation goes deeper than a percentage. What’s the goal—and who’s it really for?

Join us as we break it down, challenge assumptions, and invite you to weigh in.

This is where the madness starts.
