DURHAM, N.C. – Duke softball head coach Marissa Young has announced the Blue Devils’ fall ball schedule.
Duke will play eight exhibition games in a three-week span across North Carolina and South Carolina.
The Blue Devils open the fall slate at Charlotte Saturday, Sept. 30. The pair last met in the championship game of the NCAA Durham Regional, where the Blue Devils defeated the 49ers, 4-2, to advance to their second consecutive Super Regional.
Continuing the road trip, the Blue Devils travel down to Columbia, South Carolina Sunday, Oct. 1 for a doubleheader against Georgia Southern and South Carolina.
Duke returns home the following week to host East Carolina Friday, Oct. 6, before hitting the road again on Sunday, Oct. 8 to face Campbell in Buies Creek, N.C.
The next weekend, the Blue Devils travel over to UNC Greensboro Saturday, Oct. 14 to face the Spartans at UNCG Softball Stadium.
The fall slate wraps up with a pair of games at Duke Softball Stadium against Tennessee (Oct. 21) and North Carolina A&T (Oct. 22). The weekend will also mark the program’s first Alumni Weekend celebration.
