Player nominations for the 2028 Extra Elite 100 are being accepted for the first-ever look at this class by Extra Inning Softball.
These rankings begin on Jan. 30, 2023 with the deadline to submit information via the Player Nominations Page (click HERE to access) being Jan. 23, 2023.

As we move into the New Year, we’ll look more closely at this talented class and the players who already are drawing praise and attention.
Today, we head to the Garden State to learn more about an outstanding athlete who also has shined on the flag football field!

Coach’s Comments:
Great Athlete
“Julianna continues to amaze me and opposing coaches with the plays she makes in the outfield. She is, more often than not, the most athletic kid on the field which says a lot considering most of the teams we play are 2026/2027.”
Excellent Range
“She can easily play any position, but where she really shines is in centerfield. There aren’t many balls that are out of her range as she covers gap-to-gap with ease.
Switch-Hitter
“I have had the pleasure of coaching Jules for the past four years and where she has grown the most is at the plate. She joined our team as a right-handed batter and recently switched over to the left side where she quickly has become a triple threat slapper.

“Any ball in play puts pressure on the defense with her speed. Jules has an extremely bright future and is deserving to be one of the top players in her class.”
Key Stats & Accomplishments:
- As a second year 12U player in 2022, she went 85-for-152 at the plate (.526 batting average) with a .667 on-base percentage and a 1.338 OPS.
- This fall (2022), as a first year 14U player, she went 25-for-67 (.373) with a .494 on-base percentage and a .927 OPS.
- Selected to play in the 12U USA All American game in Oklahoma City representing the Northeast Region.

- As a second year 12u team finished Summer of 2’22 with a 45-15-4 record playing a regional schedule.
- Runners-up: Virginia Glory 12U tourney
- Champions: USA NEFL/Spring Slam
- Runners-up: USSSA 14u Full Speed Ahead
- Top 10 Finish: TCS Nationals Myrtle beach (losing 2-1 to eventual championships Team NC Bowman in bracket play)
- Four players selected to compete in USA All American Games in OKC
- Fall ’22 14U season record of 17-9-1
- Runners up: NJ Outlaws Fall Showcase
- Champions: USSSA Witches Halloween Havoc
- Four players selected to the USSSA Select 30
- Coach Fontana: “As a coach I pride myself that seven of the 12 players have been on the team since 10U and 10 out of 11 returned this year. It’s an uncommon thing in the softball world for a team to stay together for so long.”
Interesting Notes on Juliana
- Her great grandfather Larry File played for the Philadelphia Phillies.
- Her father, Bobby Jackson, ran Track and Field at St. Joseph’s University.
- She played on the #1 nationally ranked flag football team, Land of Opportunity.
