LINCOLN, Neb. — Head coach Rhonda Revelle has announced the Nebraska schedule for the 2024 season, which includes the Puerto Vallarta Challenge, the Mary Nutter Classic and a 23-game Big Ten slate.
The Huskers will open the 2024 season on Feb. 8 against Washington at the Puerto Vallarta Challenge in Mexico. In addition to the Huskies, Nebraska will face Duke, Long Beach State and Utah Valley.
Week two of the season will see Nebraska travel to Las Cruces, N.M., to participate in the Troy Cox Classic hosted by New Mexico State. Nebraska will face the Aggies twice, Sacramento State twice and play a single game against Montana.
Beginning on Feb. 23, the Cornhuskers will play in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic and play five games against teams that all qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 2023. On the opening day of the tournament, Nebraska will play San Diego State and UCLA and then face Oregon on day two. On the final day of competition, Nebraska will meet 2023 Women’s College World Series participant Utah and conclude play against Cal State Fullerton.
The highly anticipated home opener for the Huskers will be on March 1-3 as Nebraska hosts the Big Red Invitational. The field includes NCAA Tournament teams Wichita State and Missouri.
The demanding non-conference schedule continues on March 7-9 when the Huskers travel to Fayetteville, Ark., for the Woo Pig Sooie Invitational. Nebraska will meet Arkansas, Northern Iowa and South Alabama and play two games against Saint Francis.
March 14-17 will mark the Cornhuskers second home tournament as the Huskers welcome North Dakota, Northern Colorado and Creighton to Bowlin Stadium.
The Big Ten schedule for Nebraska begins on March 22 with the first of a three-game series against Illinois.
Nebraska will also face Penn State, Iowa and Northwestern at home in Big Ten play, and travel to Wisconsin, Rutgers, Michigan and Minnesota.
The Big Ten Tournament will be held on May 8-11 in Iowa City, Iowa.
