Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them…
I began playing travel ball with the Orion Hunter organization at 10U. My 10U coach, Chad Steckline, became acquainted with Coach Josh Johnson from USSSA All-Stars. It was after that, a few of us began guest playing for Unity when available at 12U for some extra reps and experience on the ballfield against great competition. After a few tournaments and with my original team moving up in age, it was then my parents decided to keep me with my peers and make the move to play with Unity. It has turned out to be the best decision and I have been with Unity ever since.

Can you tell us about your experience at PGF Nationals last summer?
It was the most amazing time ever, especially meeting a bunch of new and awesome players and building a bond with them so quickly to win it all! It was just incredible!

What should we expect from your club team this summer?
We have continued to grow by adding even more talent than last summer. It will be some great tourneys against some great individuals and teams.
What do you expect and what are your goals for your high school team this spring?
I would like for my high school team to go undefeated again in the regular season and make a good showing in the regional tournament.
Do you have a secret talent/skill?
No, sadly I don’t, but my parents may disagree.
What’s your most memorable softball story?
I think one my most memorable stories was in Kansas City in the Top Gun (Invitational) championship game when I hit, what ended up being, the game-winning home run to give us the lead and then, on defense, throw a girl out at home plate from center field to keep the lead. But I could easily go with the hit in the semifinal game during PGF in the second ITB, down one run with two outs and a runner, Alyssa Jones, on first. I hit a hard ground shot in gap to the fence, which allowed Alyssa to score the tying run while I was involved in a run down between second and third, which ended up in an overthrown ball to third, allowing me to score the winning run, sending us to the PGF Chip.
