What will it take for your team to be successful this season? We will be fielding a younger team this year and for us to be successful we will need our underclassman to step up and compete.
Who is your No. 1 pitcher and what can you tell me about her skills? Who else could see some time in the circle? Our No. 1 pitcher is Tayrn Lennon. Tayrn saw limited time last year in the circle due to the addition of Miranda Stoddard to our pitching staff. Tayrn was a 2nd Team All-County pitcher in 2018. Tayrn is 16-4 overall during her career at Orange Lutheran. She has great command of her pitches and has a complete arsenal of pitches – screwball, curve and change-up.
What can we expect from your offense? I think we will have a balanced attack offensively this season as we have a great mix of speed, contact and power.
Did you pick up any impact transfers or did you lose any players to transfers? We did get two new transfers into our school this year. Simone Penuelas (2021, OF) transferred from Bishop Amat. Lexi Lacy (2021, P/OF) transferred from Yorba Linda.
Who are the potential All-Section/All-District/All-State players on your team? Tayrn Lennon, Brenna Begin, Victoria Fragoso and Tayler Holcroft.
Signed and Committed Players: Tayrn Lennon, BYU; Brenna Begin, Arizona State; Tayler Holcroft, Nevada; Victoria Fragoso, Kentucky; Sarah Casey (2020, C), Arizona Christian; Morgan Lastinger (2021, OF) Chapman University; and Lexi Lacy, Hawaii-Hilo.
