Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them? Coach (Greg) Schnute came to some high school games my freshman year because he had two players on his team. A couple games later, he came up to me after a game and wanted to put me on the EC Bullets 16U Gold team, so that I would feed up to coach Schnute’s 18U team. Playing on this amazing team, we play so much high competition and he has trusted me enough to put me in every situation imaginable and it has made me a better pitcher.
Do you have any suggestions for training methods or apps and why? If you have access to a Rapsodo, use it. The amount of information it gives you is great and you can see exactly where you need improvement.
Can you tell us about your experience at Alliance Nationals this summer? My team had a great experience, just like any other team we wish we could have finished with a championship, but we played some tough opponents and ended up getting knocked out by the championship team.
What was your favorite fall tournament/event and why? I like the 2022 Clearwater Fall Classic because the caliber of teams is just amazing.
Which player/team was your toughest opponent and why? Mojo-Lunsford is always a tough opponent, especially because we play them so often in the fall and spring, so when we play them in nationals, we have already played each other so many times.
What areas are you interested in future occupations and why? I am interested in biology and forensics. I have always loved science and have always known I wanted to pursue something in that general area and as I have started to narrow down what I like doing, those two have been popping out at me.
What are you looking for in a future college? There is no one thing I am specifically looking for in a college. The main thing I want is for the college to be unique in its own way and for the team to have a good culture and camaraderie. The one thing I have noticed about all the schools I have liked is that they aren’t like the rest and they have something in them that sets them apart.
Who is your sports hero and why? Odicci Alexander because she was just such a hard worker and she showed that hard work does pay off and she helps out her defense when she can with fielding and that’s something I try to do as well.
What’s the best hype song and why? “I’m Good” by David Guetta and Bebe Rexha.
What’s your favorite TV show to binge and why? My favorite show to binge is “Friends.” I think there is something so special about having a small, close-knit group that you see every day and can share everything with and it’s really funny and always gives me a good laugh.
Do you have a secret talent/skill? I can play skate and play hockey. My brothers played hockey when they were younger, so then I wanted to play with them and I learned how to skate very well, which is unique for someone in Georgia.
