DOWN SYNDROME AWARENESS MONTH

Many know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Mpnth, but it’s also Down Syndrome Awareness Month.
Renae Cunningham, a 2023 P/1B for Beverly Bandits DeMarini-Richards, gave a shout out to her aunt, Viola Mitchell.
“She is 62 and she moved from Pennsylvania to live with me 12 years ago,” Cunningham said. “What makes her special to me is that she puts a smile on my face every time I am around and she acts like she isn’t disabled. She amazes me by how she cooks and interacts with people around her and to her I am her buddy.”
Happy #DownSyndromeAwarenessMonth to the funnest and most inspirational person I know. Thank you for lifting me up when I am having a bad day and always putting a smile on my face. I am so glad that I have you in my life and I can’t wait to make more memories with you!!!❤️❤️ pic.twitter.com/KIrnV8uxSC
