What do you do if you’re a top team in your travel ball age division and are stuck at home during the COVID-19 pandemic?
You play a game of “virtual catch,” of course!
That’s what the Birmingham Thunderbolts 04 players and coaches did this week as the 16U team, ranked #2 in our Extra Elite Eighty Club Rankings, jumped in to do the social media phenomenon that respects “self-isolation” and “social distancing” protocols.

Unlike most, though, the Bolts had to do it across multiple states (Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas and Virginia) as the team is spread out across the country. If you followed our 2022 Extra Elite 100 rankings, which concluded on Friday, you no doubt will recognize many of these names.
Here’s the list in order of the coaches and players who make an appearance and where they’re from… and a special thanks to Emily Inscoe who pulled all the clips together!
Note: all the players on the team are sophomores except three freshmen, noted as 2023’s.
