On Friday, talented infielder Taylor Pannell was announced as a Top 10 honoree in the 2022 Extra Elite 100 and the frequent blogger for Extra Inning Softball let us know this week what she and her teammates with Tennessee Mojo 04 – Fisher are doing to keep busy during the stay-at-home situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Here’s what Taylor and several other standouts on Josh Fisher’s team, which won PGF 14U Nationals last summer and is now playing at 16U, had to say…

I asked my fellow teammates what they have been doing lately with the coronavirus affecting everything, like their high school season or just their everyday routine.
I currently attend Rock Island High School in Illinois. Our softball season hasn’t been cancelled yet, it has been postponed till further notice, if we were to start the high school season it would be extending in to summer. This pandemic has taken me out of school until April 30. It gets so boring at home, the only people I talk to is my family and I feel like I have annoyed them very much!
I always have to be doing something, if it’s going for a run or watching Netflix. With being at home all day, I have had so much time to binge watch All American on Netflix, it has to be one of my favorite shows right now.
It’s hard not hanging out with my friends but every night I FaceTime my friends for hours and play games thru FaceTime. We don’t have online school like most, we are just sent some assignments that we should do. I wish we could take classes online or through a call—it would be easier. It is hard not to be outside practicing with my high school team and it’s crazy how it just abruptly stopped and I miss it so much.
I hope this virus clears up soon. Everyone should try their best to stay inside and keep a safe distance; the sooner this happens the faster we all can start playing ball. I hope everyone is safe and healthy!

During the quarantine I’ve picked up painting. I’ve really enjoyed doing this because it really allows me to be creative and gives me something to do while we are waiting on the summer season.
I have still found ways to get my work in, even though our high school was canceled. I am still able to work every day with my mom. She has been able to continue helping me to get better and during this time we’ve also been spending a lot of time together as a family.
This virus has been a blessing in some ways and a curse overall.
