On July 7, 2020, the formation of the latest club league was announced; you can read about it by clicking HERE on our article titled Rocky Mountain Fastpitch League Announced for Colorado (& Soon) Surrounding States.
Last Friday, I was invited to join Commissioner Randy Gale, who runs Colorado Firecrackers, and Assistant Commissioner Pablo Severtson, who is the President of the Colorado Styxx organization, into a Zoom Call to talk about the newly-founded league.
As Gale explained in the article linked above: “After the structure is set up in Colorado, programs in other states like New Mexico, Utah, Nevada and Wyoming will be integrated. Colorado will have Northern and Southern Regions and possibly a Metro Region.”
Gale added, ““We are kicking around the idea of using one of the local tournaments in the fall as sort of a baseline tournament for the league with a full league to start in the Spring 2021.”
One fun highlight for me: Pablo joins the call midway through and his initial background is the Golden Gate Bridge! Check it out…
