Athletics Mercado 2027-Bustamante continued to look like the top 12U team at the AZ Power 48 ’22 on Sunday in Queen Creek, AZ.
This time, Eva Bustamante, #42 in the 2027 Extra Elite 100, took center stage. Bustamante went 7 for 8 with two walks, five doubles, seven runs and five RBIs to lead the Athletics’ offense in victories over Arizona Storm-Torres, 13-2, Arizona Storm Premier-Kobasew, 7-4, and Athletics Mercado-Nelsen, 11-1.
The Athletics face Corona Angels-Kam 2009 in the semfinals on Monday at 8 a.m. at Bell Bank Park.
Lady Magic-Munoz faces the Arizona Storm Premier-Kobasew vs. Team Hustle 09-LaDrigue winner on Monday at at 8 a.m. Athletics Mercado-Nelsen faces the So Cal Choppers 09-Giordano vs. Hotshost National 09-Nelson winner on Monday at 8 a.m.The winner of those two games faces the Athletics Mercado 2027-Bustamante vs. Corona Angels-Kam 2009 loser at 11:30 a.m.
The 12U championship game is Monday at 1:15 p.m.
