India Chiles—the former Tennessee Vols All-American (2004-07), member of the National Pro Fastpitch League (2007), Volunteer Assistant Coach at her alma mater and club coach and trainer who we profiled last year (click HERE to read that story)—has put together a webinar series around recruiting with the next edition taking place Sunday evening (Dec. 18) at 8 pm Eastern.

The accomplished softball figure will oversee a webinar that includes parents whose daughters have gone through the recruiting process and ended up at Power 5 schools such as Duke, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Washington as well as other DI and collegiate-level programs.
As the flyer promoting the series of webinar, which also will hold sessions in January and beyond state:
“It’s time to hear from parents who have been through recruiting on what works and doesn’t work… no holding back!”
India talked to Extra Inning Softball earlier today on why she believes this information, which costs $58 per session including transaction fee for an hour and 20 minute online session, will have great value to prospective student-athletes and their families.
“I spend so much time talking with parents of athletes I know and don’t know about recruiting,” India begins. “There truly is no one journey that leads to that golden ticket!”
“To reach the public, I’ve decided to host this series of recruiting webinars where parents speak on their insights. The panelists of parents have athletes in the 2021-2024 class, all have athletes that are on a college roster currently or their athletes have committed to play for a college. They are sharing all that they have learned from recruiting and taking on live Q&A.”
And other guests including club and college coaches will also share their perspectives.
“I’ve also invited Cheri Naudin to have a segment to speak on her CSA recruiting company and Monica Harrison (Carnegie Mellon) is speaking on high academic institutions as well,” India says.

Resources will be shared throughout the webinars as take-home links for viewers and there are other significant positives about the series as well.
“We are also using the webinars as fundraisers to pay for a softball mission and training trip to Puerto Rico in June of 2023,” the former All-American shares. “(Virginia Glory 18U travel ball head coach) Suzy Willemssen and I have tag-teamed with a Sports Tourism company called MVP International to add fastpitch softball to their vast sports rotation.”
“We are taking Sharon Perkins (Georgia Southern) and Tyra Perry (Illinois) with us for the entire week to help train a group of athletes. It’s truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have college coaches for a week in the beautiful Caribbean! All are welcome to make the trip including middle and high school aged athletes.
Below is registration info for the upcoming webinar series… and if you sign up and attend any and/or all the sessions, let us know what you think by emailing Extra Inning Softball at: info@extrainningsoftball.com.
