After three weeks of covering the top prospects in the Class of 2022, including the 2022 Extra Elite 100, we finish our lists with a look at which college programs did the best in getting commits from the senior class.
Regarding our exclusive Point system, we use a mathematical formula calculating where the players are ranked in the Extra Elite 100 and Top 200 to give an overall point total.
Why 200? We have found over time (looking back over a decade-plus) the top 200 tend to be the most accurate in predicting future success and who will be the most impactful.
Note that bigger classes with a higher number of top 100 players will get the most points, also based on high how the athletes are ranked.
Remember, too, that some programs are getting players through transfers (i.e. the Transfer Portal as well as JC transfers) and may have had large classes previously while not going as big this time.
Finally, you have to look at who did well in previous years; for example, last November powers like Louisiana, Auburn, Oklahoma, Duke, Alabama, LSU, Texas, Oklahoma State and Kentucky had Top 10 classes… let’s see if they–or others–can add this year to their strong classes of the past!
