Grateful at the Plate: What Our Ranked Players Are Thankful For – McKenna Stewart 2025
As part of Extra Inning Softball’s Thanksgiving series, we asked some of the top-ranked players what they’re most thankful for this season. Today, we’re featuring McKenna Stewart, a standout in the Class of 2025, who shared a heartfelt message about what matters most to her.
In her message, Stewart expressed gratitude for the lessons softball has taught her, saying, “I’m so thankful for the discipline, focus, and perseverance the game has instilled in me, and for the support of my coaches, teammates, friends, and family who help me grow every day.”
What makes me grateful is the ability to experience the ups and downs that sports bring, along with the opportunities I’ve been given, whether it’s to learn, grow, or push myself harder than I once believed was possible. I am extremely grateful for the sense of discipline, focus, strategic thinking, and perseverance that softball has instilled in me, shaping my character today. I appreciate the support of my coaches, teammates, friends, and family, who provide encouragement and guidance. Finally, I am grateful for the fulfillment and joy that comes from competing and growing as an athlete and an individual. – McKenna Stewart
It’s clear that Stewart values the life lessons softball has taught her, along with the unwavering support of her coaches, teammates, friends, and family, which have been key to shaping her success on and off the field.
Currently ranked #99 in the Extra Elite 100 for the Class of 2025, Stewart has made a name for herself with her impressive skills on the field. As a member of Stars National Coleman, she’s shown that hard work and gratitude go hand in hand.
