Grateful at the Plate: What Our Ranked Players Are Thankful For – Sophia Feher 2028
As part of Extra Inning Softball’s Thanksgiving series, we asked some of the top-ranked players what they’re most thankful for this season. Today, we’re featuring Sophia Feher, a standout in the Class of 2028, who shared a heartfelt message about what matters most to her.
In her message, Feher expressed gratitude for her family and supporters, saying, “I’m so thankful for everyone who has believed in me, sacrificed for me, and pushed me to be my best every day. I couldn’t do this without them.”
Playing softball at a high level requires an immense amount of support and sacrifice from many different people. I would not have made it as far as I have without the support of the people around me. I am extremely thankful for every piece of advice, motivation, and opportunity my mother, father, siblings, aunts and uncles, grandparents, coaches, teammates, teachers, and so many more have given to me. They build me up and are not afraid to tell me the hard things that push me to work every day to achieve my goal of being an elite softball player.
I am also tremendously thankful for the sacrifices they have made for me on this journey. My parents have had to arrange their work schedules and spend time and money to get me to practices, lessons, tournaments, and camps. My siblings have made sacrifices by prioritizing softball events, and we don’t always get to spend birthdays and special days together. I am thankful that they understand and support me through everything. I am always happy to do the same for them and support them in achieving their dreams.
Thank you to all the people who believe in me. I will always be grateful for the time and experiences we share along the way. I could not do this without them, and I would never want to. – Sophia Feher
It’s clear that Feher deeply values the unwavering support of her family and mentors, a foundation that has been essential to her success both on and off the softball field.
Currently ranked #100 in the Extra Elite 100 for the Class of 2028 Infielders, Feher has made a name for herself with her impressive skills on the field. As a member of Indiana Magic Gold 2010 Hoggatt, she’s shown that hard work and gratitude go hand in hand.
Check back later today as we continue our ‘Grateful at the Plate’ series with more inspiring stories from top-ranked players.
