Yesterday, we addressed some things a player, parent or high school/club coach can do to better assist an athlete get evaluated and promoted as part of the Extra Elite 100 and Extra Elite 101-500 Series.
In our example from yesterday, we highlighted the profile of Abby Ota because of the excellent way the content was presented.
Today’s example features McKenzie “Mickey” Coslor, a fast-rising 2023 infielder for Rock Gold – Waye/Manetta, who is from Port Charlotte, Florida.
Like some we’re seen, Mickey’s information–including stats, honors, achievements, photos, video, schedule, etc.–is available on her own personal softball-focused website.
All the information below was pulled off her site and copied easily into an e-mail, which can be sent outbound to coaches or media. Or, simply the site link can be sent when there’s new info (I really like the update aspect—see below for UPDATE: Nov. 4, 2019) which can be cut-and-pasted and sent out via email, text or even social media.
It’s great to have a page where everything is available in a “one-stop shopping” format!
The only concern I have, and this is the parent talking in me, is being careful of putting personal information including addresses, phone numbers and more where anyone in the public can access it. It may be best to put sensitive info behind a paywall or, simply, have a section saying: “For more information, email here.”
But from a media/marketing approach, this is a great way to put everything together to make it easy for media as well and college coaches to keep up-dated!
