Kennedy Christopher – University of Kentucky Commit
Kennedy Christopher, a powerful corner infielder from Oak Creek, Wisconsin, has recently committed to the University of Kentucky, where she will join one of the most respected programs in the SEC. Ranked #26 overall by Extra Inning Softball in 2022, Christopher is a force to be reckoned with, known for her ability to dominate at both 1st and 3rd base. Her versatility and strong presence on both offense and defense make her an invaluable addition to the Wildcats’ roster. Christopher ‘s journey to Kentucky has been defined by relentless hard work and perseverance. Her impressive accolades include SEC Player of the Year honors as a freshman on varsity, as well as being named 1st Team All-Conference and All-District. Beyond her softball achievements, Christopher also broke her middle school record in the shot put, throwing an impressive 36’1″.
When Kennedy visited the University of Kentucky, she knew almost immediately that it was where she belonged.
“Kentucky has something very special about it,” she shared. “When I was watching practice, I saw a culture and work ethic that I want to be a part of. Everyone on the UK staff is so awesome, and all the girls on the team were so kind. Walking around campus, I could see myself living there—it felt like home away from home.”
Christopher ’s commitment to hard work and fostering a positive team culture aligns perfectly with the values of the Kentucky softball program. She also plans to study occupational therapy for children or sports medicine, showcasing her drive to succeed both on and off the field. With her leadership qualities, dedication, and talent, Christopher is poised to make an immediate impact on the Kentucky Wildcats when she steps on campus in 2026.
Camryn Winiarski – Auburn University Commit
Camryn Winiarski, an exceptional pitcher and first baseman, is set to take her talents to Winiarski Auburn University. A native of Virginia, Winiarski has been making waves in the softball world, earning a #19 ranking in Extra Inning Softball’s 2023 class rankings. Known for her powerful pitching and ability to shut down opposing hitters, Winiarski has developed a deep love for the game that began when she was just seven years old. Her journey to Auburn is a testament to her perseverance and her desire to play at the highest level of competition. Winiarski’s connection with the Auburn coaching staff, as well as the family-oriented atmosphere she experienced during her visit, played a significant role in her decision to commit.
“The family environment with the entire team and campus, and already having a big connection with the coaching staff, made Auburn feel like the perfect fit for me,” Winiarski explained.
Winiarski’s growth as a player has been remarkable. From her early days playing for Chesdin Storm to making the USA All-American 12U team in 2021, she has consistently competed at the highest levels of youth softball. Her experience playing in Oklahoma, on the same field as many of the college players she admired, was an eye-opener that further solidified her desire to play college softball. Under the guidance of Coach Josh Johnson with Unity Johnson 2026, Winiarski has developed into a dominant pitcher whose style aligns perfectly with Auburn’s approach to pitching.
“I feel my pitching style really goes with the way they teach it at Auburn,” she said.
Set to study sports medicine, Camryn is excited about her future both on the mound and in the classroom. As she prepares to make her mark in the SEC, Winiarski’s work ethic, passion, and determination will make her a key player to watch for the Auburn Tigers.
Taylor Faga – Mississippi State University Commit
Taylor Faga, a standout corner infielder for Corona Angels Tyson 18U, has committed to Mississippi State University, where she will bring her talent and leadership to the Bulldogs’ program. Growing up in California, Taylor fell in love with softball at a young age but didn’t fully realize her potential until she met Coach Rob Irvin.
“Coach Rob was the first coach who I felt really saw something in me and believed I could be great,” Taylor shared.
With the support of her parents and coaches, Taylor has blossomed into one of the top players in the Class of 2026. Her father, in particular, has been a constant source of motivation for Taylor, always pushing her to be her best both on and off the field.
“My dad is my best friend when it comes to working out and just in general,” she said. “He’s the reason why I push myself the way I do.”
Taylor’s decision to commit to Mississippi State came after an unforgettable visit to Starkville.
“From the night we landed to when we met the coaches and the team, everything just felt right. It felt like home,” she explained.
The family atmosphere of the program and the warm welcome she received from the coaching staff made it easy for Taylor to decide that Mississippi State was where she wanted to spend the next four years of her athletic and academic career. Set to study criminology, Taylor is excited to balance her academic and athletic pursuits as she strives to make an impact in the SEC. Her competitive drive, combined with her genuine love for the game and her teammates, will make Taylor a key contributor to the Bulldogs’ success.
“Without them and Coach Marty Tyson, I wouldn’t be the young woman or softball player I am today,” she added, crediting her support system for helping her achieve her dreams.
SEC-Bound Talent
Christopher, Winiarski, and Faga represent the future of SEC softball, each bringing unique strengths and leadership qualities to their respective programs. As they prepare for their collegiate careers at Kentucky, Auburn, and Mississippi State, their commitment to hard work, teamwork, and excellence is evident. With their remarkable skill sets, strong support systems, and unwavering dedication, these three athletes are poised to make a lasting impact on the SEC and beyond. The future of college softball is bright with Christopher , Winiarski, and Faga leading the way.
