Recruiting Spotlight: Alabama-Birmingham-Bound Lindsey Smith… Her Incredible Last High School At-Bat of 2019!

Lindsey Smith’s last at-bat of the 2019 high school season will be one she’ll forever remember!

How is this for a dream end to a high school season: you come up to bat in the championship game of the state playoffs and crack a home run that helps your team win the title!

That’s what happened for 2021 infielder Lindsey Smith who cracked a home run to help lead her Hayden (Alabama) High Wildcats to an Alabama Class 5A state title last May.

Lindsey and her Hayden teammates beat Rehobeth 5-0 and finished with a 45-5 record.

Here’s the no-doubt-about-it shot!

We caught up with Lindsey this week to learn more about her and her “other” exciting news: committing to Alabama-Birmingham earlier this month!
