How is this for a dream end to a high school season: you come up to bat in the championship game of the state playoffs and crack a home run that helps your team win the title!
That’s what happened for 2021 infielder Lindsey Smith who cracked a home run to help lead her Hayden (Alabama) High Wildcats to an Alabama Class 5A state title last May.
Lindsey and her Hayden teammates beat Rehobeth 5-0 and finished with a 45-5 record.
Here’s the no-doubt-about-it shot!
One of the top highlights of my 2019 school ball season. Looking forward to the 2020 season! @HHScatsoftball https://t.co/XayZSMTHtB
